yes, that depends on the local office.

This page has typical wait times for different local offices (the second image is for i-485):

https://www.dhs.gov/sites/default/files/publicat...

As you see, some of the offices have lower wait times than others.

Upon reading kansas city field office thread here, it seems to be about 40-50 days to get the interview notice and 40-50 days after that would be the interview. This seems to be a little better than what the image states.

received i485 transfer notice (Form i-797C, Notice of Action) in the mail. This is what the letter states :

In order to speed up processing, we transferred the application or petition ("your case") listed above to the following USCIS office for processing:

NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER, P.O. BOX 648005, Lee's Summit, MO 64064

That office will notify you in writing when they make a decision on your case or if they need additional information.

Hello All from this Awesome Forum,

I have been following this forum. This forum has been very active and the most related to my case. I hope experts from this forum can help me.

We filed EB1A I-140 application for my wife in December 2016, we also did concurrent filing of I-485 with this I-140. After that during August 2017, my wife's employer filed for EB1B I-140 under premium processing and it was approved in a week. During that period we received the RFE for the EB1A I-140, so attorney asked us to withdraw the I-140 application and request USCIS to interlink the approved EB1B I-140 with pending I-485 from December. Which was confirmed when we called USCIS in November. We were informed that the priority date should be of the first I-140 which is December 2016 but when we raised a SR , we got the response that the case has been pre-adjudicated and final verification will be done based on I-140 approval and availability of the visa. We called USCIS and Tier 1 officer told us that our priority date is from the second approved I-140 which is from August 2017.

Our attorney thinks that it should be from December.

I need your help and suggestion, what should be the priority date? And if it is from December 2016 then what can we do to get them to change it.

Your responses are greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

You need an approved I140 to claim the earlier date.

Interview is for March 6th and up I485 applications, so you may slip through as your I485 was filed before that date, but it all depends on the adjudicating officer.

Kabayan, i was browsing the thread when i saw that some august filers also have 485j transfer, isn’t supposed to be together with your first transfer of 485 to nbc, since they were filed all at the same time, a bit confused since some filers also have their own receipt number for their own 485j, even notice of trnsfer, please enlighten.

to h1bguam:

ya, the i485j has its own receipt number. My i485j was transferred to NBC a couple of days after the i485 was transferred.

did your lawyer file i485j when you were filing your i485? you should have received a receipt for that.

to h1bh4h4ead:

Yes, we did file the 485j, my understanding is thatyou will not receive any receipt number for your 485j if you file it together with your i-485 AOS

to h1bguam:

i believe you should receive a separate receipt number, at least that is what happened to me.

when we filed our i485 in august, we got a total of 7 receipts:

4 for me : i485, i485j, i765, i131
3 for my spouse i485, i765, i131
