This is from uscis website.

How long is Form I-693 valid?
Form I-693 must be submitted to USCIS within one year from the time it is signed by the Civil Surgeon and the benefit application must be adjudicated within one year of the date Form I-693 is submitted to USCIS.

It is the received date at USCIS that matters not when you did it. Unless you filed in March 2017, it would not make sense to re do it. The officer is ignorant on this.

Thanks for the info and it looks like mine is valid till April 2017! I'm not sure why i'm asked to redo the medicals and hopefully whoever interview me aware of this rule!

I would wait until they send you an RFE for medicals. Until then, you haven't received official notice from them requesting it and you don't have to re-do until they ask for it in written notice.

I heard from my lawyer they are sending medical RFEs to everyone who are close to expiry date. I got a courtesy letter from NBC stating that my medicals are missing but they have not asked me to submit anything yet. So, I will wait for the official RFE or interview notice until I do it again.

I am frustrated because I submitted medicals last june and I am not sure why they say it is missing. Did they just misplace my medicals? :(

Mine was filed on May 10th, 2017. The case was transferred to NBC on 11/15/2017. After that received a letter of missing Photos for all of us and it was advised to bring the fresh photos for Interview. No news after that. Waiting for an Interview date. Live in Minneapolis.

We received a letter saying if you had submitted your I-693 along with your I-485 and if it is more than a year then it may likely be your I-693 invalid. Do you all think I should get my medicals redone?

Who sent the letter? NBC? That seems like a vague and odd letter.

If you have your interview scheduled, then yes. Get it redone. Otherwise, wait for the interview notice first
