Anyone with old priority date (ROW) which was affected by BEC? |

I wonder if there is anyone with old priority date (ROW) which was affected by BEC... In my case, my Labor was only certified back in October 2007 (after July Fiasco)... I truly believe they lost my papers as attorney never received actual approval, but it was certified in their web site. We have filed I-485 and I-140 without issues (and I-140 was actually approved).
But due the fact that VISA numbers only opened later in 2007, my file and receipt dates were of December 2007... that is, even with priority date 2002 (ROW) I have not received the magic "email" from CRIS. Worst is now, July filers will be processed before me as "receipt date" is what matters to USCIS, not "priority date" .... Anyone in same situation?

Count me in Nov. 2002. I didn't even have my I 140 approved.

I am still waiting too. November 2002 priority date. I140 approved in June 2006 after waiting three and a half years for labor cert. filed I 485 May 2007.

In my case, it took about 3 years for LC to be approved by BEC.
NYAUG2002, just curious, I saw your I-140 was approved in 83 days, did you use premium processing?
Mine I-140 is fast too. It took about only 4 months, non-premium processing, I'm wondering if it is because CIS gives some priority to very old LC.

My I 140 too exactly two weeks. Amazingly quick. They are making me wait for my GC to make up for it I think.

My I-140 was not premium, but regular processing. I also noticed that all who responded so far filed I-485 (on or before July 2007 Fiasco) ... I was wondering if there is anyone in similar situation as mine who, because of BEC, was forced to file after July 2007 (in my case Dec 2007) as they did not certify my case until the very end :(

Why don't you try an infopass? a few of my EB3 ROW coworkers (at least 3 of them) whose PDs were late 2004 and Aug 07 filers, had their 485 approved within a week or two after went to an infopass with an IO.

Probably a coincidence. Have had infopass appointment, second fingerprint appointment, service request and congressional enquiry, nothing!!!!!!!!

to indianabacklog:
Not much of an coincidence but more like as a chance of getting it approved. Not saying that your case will get approved 100% of the time, but there's a certain amount of chance it will based on the way infopass works. it's definitely NOT a coincidence. And in your case probably it's not gonna help even if you open a few few more infopass since you've had multiple infopass already. For others they could fall into the other category. 3 of my coworkers went to the same infopass center and got the same results, and i don't think that's the coincidence.

It would be nice if you could post your case details so other forum members know at least a little about your current immigration situation?
|
to indianabacklog:
indiana - i don't have the case detail. I have explained my details in my previous posts before. I'm here to do some research due to my work and also exchange information.
