EB3 interview on March 23rd and April visa bulltein

Hello Experts,

We have our final interview on March 23rd ...will we be affected with the April bulletin.

Technically if everything went right at the interview, we would still get our I485 approved because in MArch we were current.

We would fall under March EB3 quota right?

Is that right?

I am really nervous......any thoughts or advice?

to GreenWitch:

According to the visa bulletin (http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bull...), in section A paragraph 1 and section E, it clearly states that the new bulletin is effective "immediately" for those who have not yet been allocated a number. Meaning, if USCIS did not already attach a visa number to your pending application before the bulletin was published, they can no longer do so even if we are still in March.

Enough with the bad news. Now the good: if they scheduled a final interview, chances are they already allocated a visa number for you. In that case, you have nothing to worry about. You will be approved :)

Good luck!

When does a I-485 have to go for interview, is it compulsory for all? I see most people getting GC through EB2/3 without interview. What circumstances triggers an interview?

I-485 interview is based on random selection.

Most likely when they call for an interview, they will reserve the number ( like consular processing) so you should be good. It happened to one of my friend too. Hope for the best. Good luck

That is a relief. I hope you are right and I will update the thread once I talk to my lawyer.

Thanks

An interview is required if the case documentation is insufficient to adjudicate.
