I'm wondering do I have to go to Infopass center which comes up when you input your zip code. Or you can go to any USCIS office?

That depnds on the purpose of your appointment. Sometime an individual's case is transferred from service center to the local office - in that case take appointment at that particular office. Otherwise to query about a case pending at a service center any office will suffice.

I have approve 485 but no plastic card yet. And I want to travel.... To get 551 stamped.
Yes, I have to enter different zip code than mine to get the other location.
So, would they refuse to stamp because the address in the system is different?

Well, here is my report... I went to Fairfax office... my appointment was 11:30 am.... I stood in line for 20 minutes... and I was checked in and given a number...
My number was called at 3:00pm... IO does not know how to check my status of I-90... but was able to have my passport stamped for a year... I should get PR card by then....
The office was not busy but agents were working extremely slow...
I considered my trip as contribution to the economic recovery:) ... there were five security persons at the entrance. One could have done the job... IOs need to be more efficient.. These would not survive in private sector..... |
