inbetween Projects ,want to visit homeland using AP before taking up next project
What should i answer for question "Are you working ?" At port of entry
Details:
Previous project was not with GC sponsered company ,which company i should mention
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated

This is a strange question, because 1- you are assuming they will ask, and 2- if the do ask, there is only one answer you can give them: the truth! If you know what your next project is, you can just mention that you're taking up xxxxx. But this is not a police state, and as long as you answer truthfully there is not much else you can (or need to) do.

in other words i will not be having job in hand while entering US

I am not aware that AP holders are quizzed about their jobs at POEs. When I entered recently, there was not a single question.
But you never know. I would not risk it. At the POE, they have the discretion to send us back, if they are not satisfied. An EB 485 applicant without a job offer can always have his AOS denied.
