I-765 still pending, job start from 20th june |

It has been 61 days and my EAD is pending. Has put one expedit request and that is also denied a month back.
I asked congressman to inquire USCIS.
Got reply from congressman office that USCIS replied case is received and pending. The Service(USCIS) ll make its decision and it takes 6 months.
6 month is crazy if it is. I ll lose my job. Is it true they uscis ll take six months as congressman office said or I can get earlier.

i am not sure if "interim EAD" is still offered at local USCIS office if after 3 months no EAD yet..
you may check using infopass

the local USCIS office can request the Service Center to send
you an interim EAD. I don't know if it is still valid as it is dated 2006.
Maybe the officer, during the InfoPass appointment, can use the
fact that you need the EAD for your job and place the request
to get you an interim EAD card.

just wanted to share our experience with the EAD expedite after RFE
My husband received RFE for 2 photos for his EAD renewal.
Date received :April 21st 2009
RFE received: June 5th 2009
RFE receievd in mail : june 11th 2009
RFE replied on the same day: June 11 2009
Reached TSC : june 15th 2009 (sent by express but still the delay)
Status changed to Response to RFE received on June 17th 2009
Called up to expedite the case on JUne 17th 2009
Faxed the offer letter from the company on June 18th 2009
CPO email June 19th 2009.
It took 2 days for approval after the RFE was received..i think sending the fax helped a lot.

No News yet. I am waiting anciously, ll call uscis as 90 days window ll finish next week.
Waiting EAD so I can file my I-130 as I am afriad filing it before EAD ll furhter delay my EAD.

Here's what I did.
Step1 :I opened a service request with the IO on the 75th day.
Got a reply that my EAD is under extended review.
Step 2: Took Infopass on the 80th day. The infopass IO called up the service center and gave the same reply that it is under extended review.
Step 3: Opened a congressional inquiry on the 90th day.
On the 104th day I got an email from CRIS stating that they approved my case . I am yet to get the card though.

I got a status update for EAD but not for card production. It says last processing action taken on your case and documents mailed to you. contact us after 30 days if you do not receive it. I made an expedit request 2 weeks ago. It has been 90 days already. I am scared that is it RFE or what although it si not mentioned what document they mailed.
Could you guys guide me about this.

congrats. hopefully it is not an RFE and an approval letter. BTW when did you call IO first to place a service or expedite request?.

I'm probably on the same boat as you. I applied on 22-APR-09 and still waiting for updates on EAD.
When did you apply? Did you place expedite request only on the 75th day or even before that?. Any Infopass appt or contacting congressman. Just want to make sure i do all the same. My 75th day is next Monday. thx

Congrats, please update this forum once you receive the card?. It looks like it take 2 weeks to receive the card after being approved. Just want to validate that timeline. Also did you apply for AP? Any updates on that front

I applied on 4/25/09,and requested expedite on 6/15,so less than 2 months.I did not do Infopass or contact congressman.First I once called using POJ,and IO told me I shouldn't worry about my EAD and suggested me to request expedite if I worry.So I called on 6/15 and requested expedite processing.Then I got the letter in mail,and saying I meet their requirement,and I should hear something in 15 days.

I expedit on 75th day. Let see whats in mail. Although I do not have status update like "card production order" or "approval notice sent".
It is just saying last processing action taken and document mailed. Called USCIS again but they do not know what is in mail(is it approval notice or what). So wait and see.

Hi,
One more member to the delayed EAD boat, just hoping it doesn't sink. I have applied for post-completion OPT.
I have a receipt dated March 30 so it has been over 90 days. I can't check my case status online using the receipt number so I call USCIS every few days to inquire about the status.
I called twice last week and they told me my EAD was approved and gone into production so I should receive the card by the end of June.
Today when I called, I was told my case is still pending and no approval has been granted yet. This conflicting information is causing me a lot of anxiety. They have already put in 2 service requests for my case. I have taken an InfoPass appointment for day after tomorrow.
Can anyone advise on what I should be doing now? My job was supposed to begin on May 26 and this excessive delay may jeopardize my job so I am very tensed.

He placed a lawsuit against USCIS since his job was in jeopardy
and was able to get opt/ead in time.
Did you pay by check for the opt/ead? You can see the check
image from your bank website. That will have the receipt
number of your application.

Thanks for the info, seems like a nice idea! Place a lawsuit and bargain for a green card instead of EAD :-)
A few hours back, the Case Status Online System was updated so now my case status reflects as Card Production Ordered and it says new card ordered on June 29, 2009
It is confusing because on Wednesday last week i.e. June 24 and again on Friday 6/26 the immigration officer told me on the phone that my card had been ordered and yesterday on phone another immigration officer said my EAD case is still being processed and has not been approved and card production has not been ordered. I got this information 15 minutes before the call center closed yesterday. I guess I am gonna be impatient till I get the physical card in my hand.
Any advice on whether I should go for the InfoPass appointment tomorrow then?
