Hi,
Currently i am working on EAD which i received in 2007. At the time of applying for my GC i am not married. Now i am married to wife working on H1B status. Can anyone suggest the possibilities of changing her from H1B to My existing GC filed in 2007 so that she can get EAD too like me?
Any suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your help

Please update your profile. To answer your question your PD has to be current for your wife to apply for I-485. What are you EB2 or EB3?

Yes, you can change wife on H1B (marry an US citizen) and get EAD.....I could not stop laughing by reading the topic :).
Anyway, as Qdublin mentioned, you need to wait for your PD to become current and then file her I-485.

Dear Frieds,
My husband was working on H1B for a company A which was sister concern of another relatively big company B. CEO is same for both companies. My husband’s H1B has validity till end of June 2010. Starting from 1st November 2009 based on employer suggestion my husband started working on EAD to company B and submitted AC21 to USCIS.
In 1st week of November 2009 I went to INDIA on Travel document (advance payroll) and during travel in INDIA I lost my EAD card. As I have valid advance payroll I could returned to USA in December 2009 (By God’s grace) without any issue at port of entry.
Though I have EAD from past 2 years I have not worked anywhere as 1) Job market was bad due to economy 2) my husband was on H1B; and my status was H4. In January 2010 I have applied for copy of EAD with clause “Replacement” (of employment authorization document) and my status is now EAD.
CIS received my EAD application for replacement of lost authorization document (I could see date stamp on my case); but is still in pending with CIS; they have not collected fee also from almost 3 weeks.
Today my husband got query on his H1B (query details yet to receive) status. As my husband working on EAD he can reply query on his H1B saying that he started working from company B starting November 2009.
I have the following questions –
1) As technically my status is EAD from the day my husband moved to company B; should I have issues in getting copy of employment authorization document as I am not working since I got the EAD?
2) Is it mandatory for a dependent on GC primary person to work if the status is EAD?
3) If I have query from CIS based on the above details what should I answer?
Your advice is highly appreciated

to KALICHERAN:
1) You should not have any issues getting copy of EAD.
2) It is not mandatory to work, even if you have approved EAD.
3) Ideally you should not have any queries, but if you do you can just tell them that due to market conditions you were not able to get work.
