Pros of EFile
1. Immediate receipt number
2. Data entry is done by you online and not by a USCIS agent, so less chance of errors
3. No cost associated with taking passport photos (you goto the USCIS center)
4. Use your credit card and get some points
Cons of EFile
1. USCIS schedules your photo/fingerprint appointment, so thats a hassle
Advantages of Paper File
1. No hassle of going to USCIS center for photo/biometrics
Disadvantages of Paper File
1. You have to wait a while to get receipt number and receipt notice
2. Possible data entry errors
On the whole I believe they both take the same amount of time to issue an EAD, but in my personal experience i believe efile is faster. |
