I did medicals in advance without any request by CIC because i got very frustrated. Today (April 27) I received passport request via email. Thanks God this long and frustrating journey is over. Landed on May 23 '10. Smooth landing experience!

Are you applied under CEC or FSW class? 'cause your AOR came way too quick.

Is there anything about ministers instructions in it?
Posted by KhanNT
22 Nov 2008 #2
FSW..
Actually i had filed my application earlier but they rejected it because of not having IELTS and my US I-20s etc. I resent the application with these two pieces and also included a separate letter asking them to process it asap as this was my second time. I also wrote "second submission" outside the envelope so they open it right away.

There is nothing on it regarding minister instructions, it just says that your application has been received and it is in the queue waiting assessment (based on the date received) after which i will receive instructions for medicals.

congratulations, how much approximate time does ur letter state for processing if it states anything ?
Posted by KhanNT
25 Nov 2008 #6
It does not state any time (just redirects you to the CIC processing times on the website), just says that your file has been accepted and is in the queue for initial assessment

Congratulations KhanNT!!!
I currently live in Ottawa. I already talked to the MP of my area and they are updating me with the progress in my application once every 3 months (but they are not speeding up the process in any way) .
I will really really appreciate if you can send to my email: [email protected]
the following items:
1- How did you "pull some strings in Ottawa"?
2- More information about Immigration Ministers assistant contact in Buffalo.

Thank you soooo much, and I wish you happy landing.
