jtob,

my papers is handled by INS and got my AOR already last dec. I'm waiting for the medicals and my estimated time line should be 45days from the date they sent all documents. Sana nga mabilis at walang problema with all the documents sent. Still crossing finger here.
good luck to all of us

rojani,
your AOR dated december is from sydney ns? did you receive an AOR for your documents from the canadian embassy in manila? i read in another forum that the visa office sends you another AOR when you submit your documents. based on the previous timelines my estimate for medicals after submission of docs is also 45 to 60 days.

rojani,
did you receive an AOR from the manila embassy of canada? i've read in the forums that they received their AOR and file number within 2 months. i think the embassy will issue the applicant a new file no. and stating the next step of the process.

jtob,

Talk to my consultant yesterday and I was informed that even those they had processed earlier have not recieved follow up letter for medicals. I think this will come soon or perhaps 3-4 months average processing from submission of further documents. If you check timeline anywhere from submission to visa stamping this takes 8-10 months provided it run smooth. I'm very positive if God's willing we'll be there next year.

hi rojani,
i've different posts by applicants from usa and india and they receive new AOR and file numbers from their visa office within a month. i'm wondering if manila is also doing the same? i know the previous procedure was that manila will process applications and either send a letter to request more documents or medicals na, now i think the procedure has changed and they send a new AOR. does you consultant know about this?

I had not ask for that because when I read and analyze the process, its different on my case. the first AOR is for aknowledging your application from Nova Scotia and the second one is from the local embassy that would process your application. What is important is that the local embassy letter requesting us to submit all documents as a closer step on getting that visa. Two AOR because 2 offices process the application to acknowledge it. As I mentioned before in this forum, mine was held by local embassy as it awaits the new ruling, then upon instruction they process my paper without reaching Nova that's why my provisional AOR become my my final AOR. The process will be the same, actually we are in the fast track process cause the usual 3-4 years of just getting that letter for further docs takes us in a month time and time line shows in any part of the globe that further documents to visa stamping takes 12 months max. I must admit that this waiting kills me sometimes. I noticed that you are very active in forums, keep it up cause it guides other applicants that are at lost. btw what's your profession and where you currently live.

jtob,

I just read in canadavisa forum that an Indian guy recieved aletter requiring him to submit medicals, payment, travel info and passport with his 2nd AOR. Now a friend of mine applying here as PNP got the same request after submitting his completed documents, talking of fast application this is really fast. We just hope that what we will recieve a letter from embassy next is the same from lucky indian and my friend that is a request all in one. I might be wrong with the second AOR and maybe soon we will recieve that 2nd AOR with request to submit all the requirement including passport. cheers

rojani,
i've read about narinder getting his aor w/ medicals and ppr at the same time. other applicants from india received aors lang wthout medicals. maybe his profession 4131 is needed badly in canada. that's why i'm wondering if manila follows theprocedure of medicals after documents sent like before or they send aor only then check docs. people in usa received aor only and to wait for further communictications.
my wife applied under 4131 also, thats why i'm excited with narinder getting his aor early. i'm only a dependent. although i am also a cpa i dont practice but i'm in the travel agency business. we have 5 kids so we had to show proof of funds of more than CAD 29000. pina sobrahan ko na para sure.

yeah I'm surprised with his case but he's been to canada before that an IO fast track his application. Perhaps you are right that the job is in great need and your case will be the same. But to balance you, the 38 list is an across the list priority nothing comes who top the list. Any news to your case? I was thinking that my file doc request is JAn 12, given 120 days will it mean that the BFD (bring forward date) will be MAy 12? and can we expect any time soon perhaps june or july for medicals? good luck to us..

jtob,
its still in process, probably were different since you filed you case in sydney while mine did not reach there instead the local embassy notified us that I'm eligible base on the new list. Don't know if I'll be excited to this cause all applicants filed in sydney shows from in process to eligibility review, while mine is still "in process" where they are now processing my papers and need some more information should I compare it to all those filed in sydney. Don't know if the changes is applicable to us whose file did not reached sydney, if the change should applied to all, if it does then I ill be delighted. But I'm just guessing... Also i had read in one thread that it recieved a letter required to send further docs dated jan 29 then purchase CAIPS, the CAIPS shows bfd june 13 which is 15days plus to his 120 days dealine. Is this the trend I can pressume that 135 days or so, they will start to review your full documents..

rojani,
your file did reach sydney. all visa office applications filed feb to nov 2008 were all sent to sydney for new procedure and then sent back to manila if your job is in 1 of the 38 noc. i sent mine directly to sydney but aside from that the procedure will be the same for us.
their operating procedure states that the files will be opened as soon as the full applications are received which i hope means that they dont wait for the 120 bfd before they open your file. i also read in the forums that people from other countries receive aor that their documents have been received by their visa office.
i'm wondering whats wrong with manila office, either they have a lot of backlogs or they put aside our file without bothering to send an aor and wait for the bfd before they open our documents. its frustrating when you dont know whats happening. my bfd is 120 days from feb 11 so i think i'll receive a response from them anytime soon.

rojani,
have you checked your ECAS lately?
mine has 3 lines and says:

We received your application for permanent residence on February 4, 2009.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on February 12, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Your application and supporting documents were received by the Manila office. They are pending review.

i think this answers my question about a new AOR, they ahve received my documents and they're not sending a new aor and number because i can still use my sydney number. now i'll just have to wait for either medicals or rejection.

jtob,

sorry for delayed response, my file did not reached sydney for we did not file it there nor the local embassy. Also the only letter we recieved so far were from our local embassy indicating that my application was considered base on the list and was ask to submit futher documents. My ecas status is still in process not the one you had, I believed were on the same processing only that your case is updated by sydney cause you file it there. Consultant always remind me that in the end its the call of the local embassy to approved the application whether it reched sydney or not. I was worried then because of this different status I had recieved. good thing we keep posted so that more or less we know whats going on to our case.

rojani,
here's the latest update from canada.
i received my aor from manila may 26. it was dated may 14 so it took them 45 days to open my file since i sent it march 27. it says that my application is still pending review and once found eligible will proceed with processing and will take up to 12 months. it also states that i should contact them after 45 days from may 14 if i still havent received any communication from them.

jtob,

Please clarify, is it a 2nd aor letter from manila embassy indicating that they recieved your updated documents and pending for review? Does it also mention in the letter that you need to contact them 45 days from the date of the letter concerning your updated documents if they did not response to the given time frame. If it does, can you send me a copy of the letter via email so that I can show this to my consultant. It seems that we had huge gap consdidering that we filed it earlier. my email [email protected]

1march4,

Yes we had the same date and my ecas is still in process, but today I got a call from embassy informing me that I will recieved a refund for overpayment. I was also asked if I'll be bringing my dependants with me and need to pay the rprf( if I heard it right, got excited ) so it a positive conversation to me that they had started processing my case. I will recieve the letter tommorow. here is what i can share with you, as long as we don't recieved refusal letter or change in ecas status " in process" last May 12 onwards I'm pretty sure they are processing our case and passed the complete eligibility. no worries!!!
