Received a letter from CIC saying that the application is denied since my Job Code is not in the revised NOC list. The Processing and PR fee will be refunded. Guess thats it for my FSW application, now my only hope is AINP application.

Thank you Rajeev.

How long did it take you to get the nomination in Alberta?
I heard from some cases in Alberta that ussualy they transfer their files to Seattle and get their visas between three and six months.
I wish you the best.

My Question to you Going2Canada? A guess you are in Canada, Did you worked at least one year here before applying? I am just wondering since you said you were not qualified due to not on the NOC list.

Rose,
I dont think I have nomination from Alberta yet, I filed my AINP in feb 09, previously I had applied in FSW category which has been denied now. In both cases am going thru a Consultancy so they are taking care of the correspondence (Am a consultant so I keep moving to different places frequently). I havent received my AOR for the Alberta application yet. My application was sent to Alberta and it is still there, I'll update the status once I get any information.
What about you, which category have you filed your application

Staths,
Am not in Canada and I did not work there, I filed my application at the end of Aug 08 when the rules were about to change. My job code was Programmer Analyst which is not in the revised high priority list (the closest one is IT Manager), thats the reason my application form was rejected.
If you are already in Canada, or if have a job arrangement with a company in Canada then you have a better chance of getting approval. Hope this helps

I applied on September as FSW. I got my AOR at the beginning of March . I have been working in Canada since September 2007. I believe that my application will be processed because my employeer offered me a permanent position if my application is succesful and lucky me, my NOC is on the list (restaurant manager). My only concern is that my work permit will expire on September and lately is being hard to get positives LMO's from Human Resources Canada, and according to the new rules in order to get the PR for work permit holders, it has to be valid at the time they request your passport. My company will apply for the new LMO next week. I takes 8 to 9 weeks to get approved or rejected.

You are closer to get your nomination, I wish you the best.

Rose,
Seems like you have a good chance in getting a PR thru the FSW category, dont worry you'll get the extension and your PR soon, Good Luck
