Hi Arcsap - Please visit this website they have listed out the procedures. http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cjisd/fprequest.htm. If you need it quickly just write a covering letter mentioning urgently you need FBI clearance for immigration purpose. they will send it in 3 to 4 weeks. If there is no cover letter it takes 12 to 14 weeks. Thanks !

hi,
Thanks for the response.
I have few more question.
Actually I went through the site.
As for as for the finger printing , do I have to go to the local police station or somewhere else.(Law enforcement center?)

Do I have to submit another paid Fedex envelop for returning that report. ?
Where do the send the report ?
To us or to the consulate?
we have to pay for the postage in advance?
Thanks a lot again.

Hi arcsap - You need to go to the local police station they will be having a standard fingerprint template were we need to take the finger prints & we need to send tht report along with the Fees to FBI. (Use Credit card payment as cashier cheque validity is for 90 days).
No need to send the Fedex envelop or prepaid evenlope for returning the report. FBI will be sending it in first-class mail return to us. You need to send the report to FBI CJIS Division – Record Request

Hello CanadaBoy, thanks for you comments. I believe you had a question about attached documents. So whatever i had send to CIC during 1.5 years of my application, all were xerox copies duly attested by Notary (except like PCC which was send to them as original). Please let me know in case of any more questions.

hi CanadaBoy -

Congrats!

Two questions if you will:
1) Which local office was your file transferred to
2) You spoke of getting the visa personally. Can you share details on how that went (e.g. did you need to schedule, are there specific times, what to bring, were they polite and did personal pickup seem like an ordinary occurrence, etc.

Thank you!
