Initial assesment is the cheking (verifying) of your file for the documents you submitted along with the application. The successful comletion of IA verifies that you have the points required for immigrating to canada as skilled worker. They will let you know in writing whether the initial assesment is complete. Once IA is complete, they can ask you for medical. After you send your medical, and it passes the medical test, they will ask you to send passport along with reuired fee for landing. Hope this answer your quries.
Yes! My interview was waived. Arranged employment gives you more points but I doubt it for faster processing. I think the only way for Faster processing is submitting all the required documents at the earliest (possibly along with the application) and later they don't have to ask you later for more documents. In my case except for medical, I did not submit any extra doc. later. Thanks
So, I have done. All the docs I have submitted, including finger prints. Yes. you are right. We can save time. We have to wait for the medical approvals ? we can not send passport and landing fee alongwith medicals ? Some immigration lawyers told me that AE helps in processing fast. but it involves extra cost and efforts too. So now you are waitiing for visa. any time. Good Luck. Thanks
Once your medical reaches Ottawa office and passes the medical test, they will ask you for passport, immigration photos and permanent residence fee(also called landing fee). So you have to wait until your medical gets passed.
