No,... not yet.
Got an e-mail from them stating that the wait time is upto 30 weeks.
Hi Aprad. That is pure BS. Last year all AORs were estimated to be delivered in a period of 2 -3 months. Man, they said 30 weeks !!! what is the certificate expires and they send you the application back for a missing document. The global recession has created the sluggish immigration process even more slow.
Good luck man. I applied a month later than you so I guess I should wait for your status to be changed first.
The certificate is valid for 6 months , but i guess as long as we have applied to cic within that period it should be OK.
Yes, 30 weeks just to get acknowledge letters is a long frustrating wait..
Also, after medicals ,it takes atleast 8 months during which they may request for State backgrounds checks also.
Sigh !!!
Good luck
hey, It doesnt take that long!..typically a couple of months..
So, it did take about 7 months after sending medicals. Well, congrats, atleast you can see the light.
Hi aprad;
Did you receive an initial assessment letter from CIC before you received your ppr?
Thanks.
Hi chigirl
I did not receive initial assesment letter form CIC.
asad80,
you were righit!.. it takes that long after medicals
best wishes for your ppr
congratulations aprad!!
Can you tell us about the landing procedures ? Did you have to go through some questions that you prepared answers for immigration officer?
