Received an Interview Cancellation notice on 8/29/2007. Don't know what is going on with USCIS :( Our Interview got re-scheduled to 26th Nov 2007. Finally, we had our interview today. It went well. The IO was a nice lady and very friendly. As it went.. She adminstered the oath and made us sign a paper indicating we are representing ourselves without the attorney. She went thro my I-485 application form and verified information entered on it. She did the same with my wife's application as well. She asked for both of our passports. She kept my I-94 card on the file. However, she never saw my wife's passports. She also asked for our Social security cards. She verified the port of entry into the US the last time I used my H1 Visa. She asked when I had last entered the US and asked for my Advance Parole document that was used, looked at it and returned it. She inquired about the places I have stayed in the US since I arrived in the US. She verified it with my biographic information sheet submitted with my application. She asked about the companies I have worked for in the US and verified it with documents in my file. She asked if I had worked for my sponsoring company continuously since I started there. I replied in the affirmitive. She asked for a copy of the most recent EVL and kept it. She also asked for copies of my pay stubs, last years' tax returns. She kept the copies. She inquired about my wife's job. She also made us answer all the questions on the I-485 application. At the end of it she said everything looks good. But she could not approve our applications today as my fingerprints had expired. She was kind enough to set up an appointment for my fingerprints and mentioned that she would revisit our files after she received my latest fingerprints. So the wait continues.
