went for interview on 1st oct 2010 , with wife and daughter at Indy offfice at 11 am , along with the attorney , since all the paper were already submitted IO took oath checked all the papers found it perfect , i gave him EVL , he did not even ask for that and then he said since my Fp was messed up , he will check if my FP from EAD can be used , came back told me i will have to do FP then and there , he filled the form and then said that he asked for visa number last month to state dept and i am approved and have visa number , so i asked him if he can stamp the pp , he no bc my Fp is not updated , but he said your case is approve and i should get my green card in 3 weeks and then i thanked him and left the room , very simple interview , after leaving the interview room went straight to get my FP done and thats it hopefully in 2 weeks i am get my card , end of the story -------------------------------------------------------- and below is my first interview exp We had interview at 8 am today (7/7/09) , interview was as Indianapolis USCIS , we reached at lobby at around 7.45 am with my lawyer , my wife and our daughter , we were called for interview at 8.15 am , Lady who did our interview was very nice , she took oath and than verified all the documents , she took EVL letter from and also she said that service center had question that why my eduction certificate has my father's name in middle , luckily i had done an affidavit and submitted in bombay court that my name on passport and degrees are of same person and she accepted that , after that looked at all my papers and she said everything looks good , and she verified my wife's document , she wanted a copy of our daughter's birth certificate , she is US citizen , After that she said thats is we are approved and they don't need anything from us and this is our final interview , since there are no visa numbers she can't stamp our passport , but she said the file will remain with her at local office and once visa numbers are available we will get our Green cards , and she said all our name check and background checks are completed so we are now just waiting for oct 2009 ,interview lasted for about 40 minutes was very good , lawyer did not even had to speak once. It was good that i had got affidavit for my name things which helped , she said she did not understand why and RFE was not issued and interview was asked , but i liked that since i was able to get all the details and i am now not worried about name check etc since everything is clear now , thank GOD , we left the office and felt good , was not nervous but little anxious about interview.
