I filed for dependents also
I'm not sure why it was so late,
My case is, within the last 12 moths, worked as a contractor, then permanent, then as a contractor again
Also on the 51st day, got a letter stating the photos of dependend is earler than 6 months, so sent the photos again.

My case is similarly to yours - perm to perm and then contracting. So did HO contact your employers for references? Please let me know as my application is with the HO for nearly 8 weeks and still they have not contacted any of my employers. Congrats that everything turned out fine for you. Good luck.
