I had applied on 26th of march, do yu have ne idea of whicd days of application is under progress?

no clue as yet....

ya... rite now they are processin 28th and 29th feb docs...

Feb 28 applicatn is in process for long time...according to voice mail frm HO...but guess it is not true....

I found 2 ppl wid 256 *** series got approved as per tackitt, did u hear anything from HO?

i callled HO few mins back and heard voice message sayin abt 29th feb....and HO ppl said cant disclose anythn bfore 14 weeks...

Dis wait is unexpected...n loosing many things....

keep in mind , there are many ppl , waiting over 12-24month for decision.. 14 wk is the min time before they will tell u your status

I applied on April 10th,2008 and I got an email on April 17th, 2008 with the reference number. Is this the reference number that I have keep track of or do I need to call HO for reference number.

i have one clarification: if we claim 95 points and if they find it is only 85 points - due to some discrepancy in earnings calculation, will we be getting the approval still? because i have claimed 40 points for earnings in which i mentioned about my actual CTC. But when i calculate the figures in the pay slip - it is coming around 4lakh 80 thusnd only... If any one can give their inputs reg this will be highly appreciated....i have submitted all 12 months pay slips, along with 12 months bank statements, IT Returns of last year and letter from bank stating that sal is getting credited in their bank..Thanks in Advance...

they will calculate all your points themselves, and if they find that you should get not 95 points but less, say 85 or 75 points only - it's still going to be an approval. As soon as you get minimum of 75 points, u should be fine.

Thanks a lot for ur qucik response, i am keeping my fingers crossed - its been 12 weeks...i think they've lot of backlogs as well...

NO ONE just should be thinking that they have backlog, it is a fact and home office has clearly mentioned on their website that there is a huge back log and currently they are working on application received before 3rd march. and that is for straight forward application only. there are still application which are gone for further verification checks and waiting 4-24 Months. so plz kool down or better to freeze down for few more weeks or a month and two. just pray for positive answer , doesnot matter a month or few late.. as long as it is positive it is okay.

i sent the application on 07-March, reached them on 11-mar..
money got debited from card on same day..
ref. no is 25633*. i calld them up on thursday to check wats the status as it is more than 14 weeks...
they said they've already sipatched it on 24-june and APPROVED..i got the papers on 27th june-Friday itself..
Now trying to get help from this blog for Entry Clearance..
If any of u've applied EC by your own, can u pls help me reg.. this? Thanks in Advance!!

It wud b approved , do not worry.... as now it is more than 14 weeks, you have all rights to call HO ppl to get updates on ur applctn.....defntly call dem n ask..... Good luck

i have been waiting 170days and know some ppl waiting 1 AND TWO YEARS.

BUT AS HO is proessing cases received betwen 25feb til 5 march, so may be in 2-4 weeks u might get good news..

sorry for the late reply.
u wil 1st need to send a courier pick up request to the HO to the number 0044-114-207-2894.
just mention that u want a courier pick up for ur doc's after the decision has been taken.
u wil need to mention ur ref no,ur name,DOB,email id, and the courier which is pickin ur docs.
u wil also need to put in their address(of courier pick up ppl).

payment mode depends on the courier pick up ppl..
they wil contact u when u send them a mail abt the detailso of the pick up.
like date and time.
u wil hav to first confirm wit ur case worker abt this.
i did the payment thru credit card.

You can call HO on 0044 11042074074 and select option 2 and then listen to the instructions and select option 2 ,after that in few min you would definitley get a chance to speak with CC Executive :-)

first check up if al ur docs are perfect that u hav sent...
cause they delay it only if they have to do lots of verification on any of ur docs which are unclear or make them have a doubt on ur case( ie docs provoided).
if al ur papers are fine, then send a complaint to them. u wil find the mail id on their main website.
mention ur ref no and points claimed.
they shud get back to u in sum time.

I got my Tier 1 Visa for 3 years...
I applied for a post dated Visa ....
I thank everyone on this forum for all ur help and "quick query clarifications" and al Wel-wishers and God for this...
Although the IT market is down rite now.. stil have a sense of satisfaction...
Got my passport wit visa stamped within 26 days... :-)
Finally months and months of struggle.. which started in January has come to an end...
