Hi
Any news yet for you? My application went in about the same time as yours. Did you use a company to represent you (eg 1st contact)or do it yourself?
I've been back in Oz now for weeks waiting having to change my flight all the time, I really hope it comes through soon and the EC part is quick, i hear it can take 1 -2 weeks.
well good luck!

Hi
No news. I was in Australia when I applied, but got a UK company to represent me who are located in London. They are called UK Work Permits.
I have been back in OZ since my application now.
My friend EC part took 3 weeks...14 working days. So take note.

Any news on you? have you tried calling HO and getting dates? are we all on the same list of applications?

Hi
I email my consultant at 1 st contact every fews days, she gives me nothing really.. said she didn't have my ref number.. so i emailed the home office and got a response straight away telling me my ref number also this;

Having checked our records, your case is still awaiting consideration. I am unable to advise how long the case will take to complete, each case is assessed on it’s own merits. Due to a high volume of applications received over the past few months, we are currently experiencing delays in the processing of HSMP applications. Regrettably, this has had an impact on our service standards. We are working to reduce the high volume of applications and to minimise these delays. Our service standard of 90% of cases in 14 weeks has never been a guarantee of how long cases will take to process.
We are currently processing cases from March 1st, your case was received on May 7th. You can access updates on the current processing date by ringing 0114 207 4074 and selecting the appropriate option. The recorded message is updated as and when the team complete the cases from a particular day.
This information is also available from our website, it can be found here - http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/workingintheuk/hsmp/waitingtimes/ this information is updated every Monday.
I hope this is helpful.
Regards,

hey there - I am watching yours closely, I am 262, you are 261... I think I will remember this series of numbers for the rest of my life, like my university number or HSC exam number!...can't recall waiting on something this much - actually....let me think...nope, never sweated something out for like 14 weeks, worried for a few weeks, but never sat each day wishing it away ... got to stop doing it - wasting my time waiting for the mail, or a glimmer of hope that soon i will be on the plane (maybe singapore rather than qantas) back to shiny london....

no job, no man, no house....but going back! - here job, life, house...hmm...and summer..you know which option on paper looks better..but yet i still want to pick up pack my suitcase - which still sits in my bedroom hopingto be repacked..and be back in london with a wine with my friends soaking in the cool crisp london air....

Congratulations! My boyfriend's was received on 1st May so that means we're really close. I'm the English girlfriend waiting for him (forever) back in the UK.

There's still the entry clearance to go though and Australians seem to have the worst luck with that. Were you on a working holiday visa? If so, I assume you've heard the latest saga? Good luck for EC!

thanks....good luck to everybody, things are going quick, so the rest of May and June will go very fast.

yes I am very happy indeed.

I was on a working / holiday visa. I am fine for the 50/50 spilt.

In a small note: I called up once and some dude told me that they can't even look up my ref number, I called again and this time a lady answered and said I have been approved. The moral of this story is, call twice to be sure, as some of the HO staff are idiots.
