chopra.. you gotta wait for u r priority date to become current to apply for u r 485.. u will get u r ead arnd 3 months from then..

Thanks for the reply dear; so that way my PD is Oct 10 2008. In case my PERM will be approved this year, how long approximately I gotta wait to get to the EAD. Kindly, advise with a very rough estimate if possible. I don't know much details abt this process & I will be obliged if you can shed some light. Thanks in Advance!

Hi Chopra

I think you are pretty new to the Green Card process. Your PD is oct 2008 and USCIS is processing feb 2004 so its a 5 + year backlog.So my friend, its a long wait atleast 5 + years if the current trend is going on unless Obama administration changes immigration policies. Imagine in EB 3, people have a 8+ year wait so if your hoping for EAD card soon its not going to happen and better plan a alternative.
