Hi my H1B extension (2nd time) filed on dec 10 2013, on feb7 2014 I got an update that my case transferred to local USCIS office from VSC , this means my case transferred to CSC or my local office Albany it's my current location? Am so curious to know , also pl tell me on what basis they are giving number of years?? I got stamping 1 year (jan1 to jan31 2012) first extension also I got 1 year only (jan1 to jan31 2013) now applied for 2extension do anyone have idea why I got small duration rest of my mates got at least 2 to 3 years. LCA approved for 3 years every time but got decision 1 year only pl reply

Good! all those updates from Feb 7 is same : )at-least if they mention the processing time since this is transferred from VSC we will be happy!!

yours is H1B extension or amendment? why old post mentioned as alien registration number is changed? is that case number changed?

this is my first time extension. files on dec 26 2013. I got my initial h1 for 1 year only.

oh same like my case since your case transferred to CS there might be a chance of getting 3 years or whatever period mentioned in LCA.
My case different i got stamping 1 year , 1st extn 1 year now applied 2nd extn

Number of Years approval is not based on LCA . It is based on Client letter and Master agreement between employer to vendor or client.

I never produced both, i gave SOW which is valid for 1 year for all projects, but this time i have BRM letter mentioned 3 years, my mates who have SOW 1 year got 3 yrs extn so we cant judge anything!!!!!

for dependent within a week will come to know the terms of years and for principal applicant take2-3 weeks
Since march fresh petitions to be filed USCIS acts faster and approving all petitions !!!! good for all!!!

yes first dependent then us

But my dependent case is still showing as Initial Review.

is it so?? may be they might not have updated, usually dependent status updated first, you will get postal mail for dependent first

both of us got approved today, ours is H1B extn and yours? just wait one day and check tomorrow, did you wife travelled india during extn ?

I got I797A for my spouse and approved for 2 years!!! hope you get soon

This is my 1st ext. I have been here since last year.

I am looking for H1B transfer to another employer but my visa got expired on DEC 2012, but my H1B extension got approved last week and have my new I94, will be any issue doing H1B transfer to new employer?

No issues for transfer, But you may or may not get approval validity as current

It's just H1B transfer right? NOT extension as my new extension got approved recently until DEC 2015, so it won't be transfer alone? pl clarify in detail
