ITCoolie 24 Comments hi
Did your USCIS case status change to pending?
No, it does not show as Pending. Still it shows as "Case Was Received"
Hey...is it approved? or any updates?
You can open a case inquiry with USCIS
@Vinay4EAD,
I asked my employer to open SR, lets see.
Thanks.
Do you see case assigned to an Officer in the status?
My employer is LAZYYYYYY, they did not create SR. I created myself through online but the response is not really helpful "This is not your case since you are not a petitioner and you are beneficiary, we can’t provide the case status at this time"
You can just create as an employer.
they only ask your firm name and name of contact person.
Will do
Is that through online or via customer care?
i did by calling customer care
Thanks Vinay. Will call them today.
@ExpatinUSA,
No, still waiting.....
why is it taking longer than normal time in your case?
Do you think going to Premium is better ?
@h1bfornov,
I don't want to upgrade. My last H1-B approved within a month without RFE. I can see USCIS randomly slow some cases and they may expect people will upgrade into premium, so that they can get money
The wait is so frustrating
when was your last H1-B approved i mean which month it was was it in the same time frame (march/april?)
no, it is not in the same time frame.
Applied last week of May2015 and approved in Last week of June2015
Are you still waiting? I mean, I can see 1st week of may cases are getting approved. Your case is much old than that. Any updates?
@BarodaExpress,
No, still waiting.........
Hi, Is there a 180 rule for the approval process.
Basically you can stay for 180 days and have to leave the country after that if the decision has not come.
I was in the same situtation in 2010 for my L1- B extension , USCIS has taken 175 days and 2 RFE one for regular and one after premium upgrade to give me a Reject decision - I was mentally decided to leave the country then and it happened for real.
@welcometousa: Just check the 180 day rule( btw dont want you to scare...my case was peculiar..)
Got RFE after upgrade into premium, my 240 days is mid Jan2016. I am not sure what to do.....
Please advice...
