My employer opened a service request on Nov 20, 2015. So far no response. My driving license is expiring on Dec 2nd as MN DMV extended it 6 months from extension receipt notice. DMV is not extending it further unless we have some written correspondence from USICS about this petition. SR was opened for this purpose only. I can get my license extended if we get a response to SR.

USCIS should send a notice automatically if the petition is above 5 months. People can atleast get driving license extended based on that. Now legally I can work beyond Dec 2nd but can not drive. It is really frustrating.

Hi allendsup23,

I am on the same boat. My license got expired on Dec 20th, but DMV is not extending my license based on the Receipt number.
I wanted to know how you've manged to get the license extended for 6 months based on the receipt number?
Also, to which DMV have you approached? Please let me know.

Thanks
Kumar
