Any update on your H4 extn and EAD ?

received H4 case number last week, status is "Case Was Received". Still waiting for H4EAD case number.

We had filed H1B along with H4 and EAD, H1B is approved. EAD status says "new card ordered on 24th march" but H4 status says "case recevied on 17 march". This looks weird to me. I have seen 2-3 delays in update of online status, but it is more than a week since EAD status changed but H4 did not.

ordered on 24 march means it should be in your mailbox before end of this week, looks like just the status update issue with website (data entry).

I hope so, will keep looking and let you know if there is any update on my side.

Did you guys received receipt for H4 & EAD via mail or email?
and once you have received H1b email receipt after how many days did you received receipt for h4 and EAD?

I just received my h1b premium receipt yesterday via email, but nothing on H4 and Ead . Although the checks for h4 and ead have been encashed by uscis yesterday.

I received H4 & EAD receipt in mail. My attorney got H1B receipt notification via email since thats the one associated with premium processing. Premium processing unit in USCIS sends these notifications to the petitioner.

My case was sent by my attorney on 16th march. My attorney emailed me the receipt # on 25 March (Saturday). I saw USCIS status approved on 27th March morning and saw the H4 and EAD receipt in mail in evening.

I am assuming your H1B, H4 and EAD were in same packet and if H1B is received, there is no reason that your H4/EAD are not received. Don't worry.
Only worry is what will USCIS do with premium applications filed before 3rd April, but pending as on 3rd April. Hope for the best - Good luck! :)

@ssingh17 my attorney sent to uscis on 15th march, Attorney received H1 receipt on email 20 march, I received H4 receipt in my mail on 24th March, we ( me and my attorney) are still waiting(15 days) for EAD receipt.

Also H4 receipt says case received on 23rd march but online it shows case received on 16th March.

USCIS posted below on their website :
The temporary suspension applies to all H-1B petitions filed on or after April 3, 2017.
We will continue to premium process Form I-129 H-1B petitions if the petitioner properly filed an associated Form I-907 before April 3, 2017.

So they will treat the h1b case as premium process if received before april 3rd , even if your received date is March 31st ..still they will treat the case as premium and are subject to give approval/denial by 15th April ...that's my understanding

Yes you are right. But given that USCIS workload will generally increase on 3rd April, we dont know how will they process remaining cases. Hopefully, they do honor premium processing, but nobody knows.

thats' the one of reason they have given "to reduce the work load premium processing is suspended". They are at ease for next six months with new 85K petition as "no premium" for them.

Because of suspension of premium processing, USCIS received a lot of premium processing requests. I can only imagine the last week of March had seen many more applications. They have to premium process all those as well. They may or may not be able to do that.

Again, my 2 cents. I really hope they honour premium processing. 6 months suspension is too long and doesn't leave any good otions for a lot of people.

each premium case means additional $$$ for them so they won't touch regular 2017 and new 2018 cases and fully concentrate first on premium cases in april.

Sure. You are pointing out "best" case and I am pointing out something between "best" case and "worst" case.

My case is same like yours,
Filed H1B,H4 and H4 EAD in Premium on 23rd March
Received receipt number for H1B on 29th March ,its at Nebraska Center
31st march received receipt number for H4 , not yet receipt number for H4EAD
Lets wait and watch for a week.
I will keep you updated

more than two weeks, no receipt for EAD case.

Last Saturday I got my receipt number for h4ead ...hoping good thing happens with approvals ...

Attorney received the EAD case number, apparently usps mailman misplaced my copy somewhere in mail.

@mk01 yes, attorney via my employer initially informed me about approval with validity duration.

nothing on H4 and EAD, no movement.

Was your case on USCIS website showing initially "CASE WAS RECEIVED" status or "CASE WAS RECEIVED and RECEIPT WAS EMAILED"....

Actually I am trying to understand if USCIS returns premium check then does it still show Premium anywhere like receipt notice or online etc.

mine case was filed on 21-MAR... but they returned it and it was resubmitted on 21-APR and now i don't know if it was accepted in premium or regular

@ All - Shall we travel to India , if H4 is in progress . But H1B is approved and got the petition. sugesstion please. whether can i able to stamp H4 also along with H1B Approved petition

Regarding travel to india - if it is change of extension you can but not for change of status

yeah you can get visa stamped using your h1 , but in that case probably your H4 EAD might be abandoned , so you might need to reapply that using your valid H4 stamping

You may travel if you are in valid H-4 status and meet all the admission requirements, including having a valid H-4 nonimmigrant visa. However, traveling outside of the United States could cause delays in your case. While you are outside of the United States, we may need additional information to make a decision on your Form I-765 or we may issue a Notice of Intent to Deny (NOID) with an opportunity to respond. If you do not respond on time to a Request for Evidence (RFE) or to the NOID, we may deny your case as abandoned. Additionally, travel outside of the United States may also cause possible delays if we need to reschedule your appointment at an Application Support Center.

Finally, please note that if you file Form I-765 concurrently with Form I-539 requesting a change to H-4 status from a different nonimmigrant classification, we will deny your Form I-539 as abandoned if you travel abroad while your Form I-539 is pending. In this case, we would also deny your Form I-765.

If you choose to depart from the United States before your pending change of status application is approved, we will deny your Form I-539 and Form I-765, even if you are re-admitted as an H-4 nonimmigrant. In such cases, after being admitted into the United States as an H-4 nonimmigrant, you will need to a file a new Form I-765.

Its just H4 no EAD... so shall i go to india for stamping. is it okay if i withdraw h4 petition which is currently pending?
