I think upgrading to PP would be helpful. What is the wage level and SOC code used?

wage level is 2. i am not sure about SOC code.
I see many cases approved in 60 to 80 calendar days from various centers, if that's the case, my case should be approved by Jan 15. would you think still PP help? please let me know if my understanding is not correct? or is regular processing taking more than 90 days?

Since only 2weeks are left to complete those 60-80 calendar days, i would suggest to wait for now and upgrade to PP after Jan 15th. Good luck

I am in wage level 2 as well. Have you seen or heard any potential issues with level 2 wage ?

Mine was filed on Aug 22 and I am yet to receive a response. VSC seems to be taking extremely longer than most centers and now that PP is open, it is delaying the decision for people like me, who could have gotten approval had it not been for the increase in PP cases, once it was re-opened.

Since you have filed end of October, you can expect (based on current wait times and based on my application status) a decision in the next two months. Yes, by March/early April, you can expect a decision. Dont forget that not only the extensions are being processed, but most of the April 2017 new H1Bs have received RFE and all (or 99%) of those would have been submitted for further review. Those need to be decided by Apr 2018 of this year, before this year's applications are taken over. So, there are more delays coming.

I was hopeful that my application would be processed by 20 Jan 2018, but I just saw a case from July 26, 2017 that was for some unknown reason not picked up in the regular process and they had to file for PP and it got approved end of Dec 2017. I am planning to go the PP route as well, because I am guessing this is the new way for USCIS to make money - deliberately delay the processing and force the petitioner to convert the case to premium. I see almost all premium cases are being approved.

If you are not in a hurry, then I would say wait. Otherwise, wait until end of the month before you convert to PP. But, dont expect your case to be processed within 90 days of receipt from VSC, as is the case with other centers. Nebraska seems to be the fastest, but unfortunately, we are all stuck at VSC.
