Discuss sharadj's H-1B USCIS Case

Status got updated on 16 October saying "Case was transferred and a new office has jurisdiction" .

It got updates yesterday again on 17 October saying "Case was transferred and a new office has jurisdiction".

Not sure why it got updated twice in two days. Not sure to which SC it has been transferred now.

I tried calling USCIS customer care number and it says on October 17th my case was transferred to Laguna Niguel California Service Center.

Not sure it got transferred from same location to same location. lol

Didnt your employer/attorney receive the transfer notice? I called my employer and found that it went from CA to VT. I may need to call the USCIS once.

Checked with my employer, they are saying that there is no change in receipt# so they can't share anything else and asked my to track it by original receipt# only.

you will still have the same old receipt# even if your case transfers to other office

I asked my employer to convert it to premium today and they agreed to it. Do you know if USCIS will show this information like when it gets converted from normal to premium?

My Employer converted my case to premium yesterday and today it got updated on USCIS website. Now its showing status as 'Request For Premium Processing Services Was Received'.

Got RFE today on 8th Jan.

mine got converted to prem and got RFE on 2nd Jan. i think RFE from Vermont center is a normal trend now.

@TeamBhp : When did you convert to premium? Do you know the reason for RFE?

i upgraded to prem on 19th Dec. on 14th day got RFE. Reason yet to know.

what is your SOC, wage level and education ?

Even I got RFE, on 2nd Jan. Yet to hear from employer.

Planning to convert my case to premium. When is your 240 days window getting over? Is any one staying in US without working even after 240 days max out?

My H1B Extension was filed on Jul 25 with Californica service center and by Oct 15 it was moved to Vermont service centre.

I'm still waiting for the result and my 240 days expiring by Apr 08. I'm from Infy too. Should I convert to premium ? Please suggest.

@hydpotta : What do mean by they won? Have you got the approval already?

@KSELVA007 : You will get auto generated email saying you have reached around 150-160 days mark and ask your manager to convert it to premium. I would suggest you to get it converted it to premium.

my rfe reason is Employee Employer relationship and specialty occupation . But when i checked with GI team, they said its only EE no SO. dont know why do they send generic template emails.

@TeamBhp : Same is the case with me. My RFE reason is SOC and EE. GI team is saying I dont have to provide any further document for SOC.

Myself and my colleague with same education background, SOC code, Wage level. He gets RFE asking for Client Letter/SOW, I got RFE asking for Experience Letters from previous and current employers. The RFEs are random.

Yeah, even for me my immigration team asked for Client Letter, SOW and MSA

Did they ask for jd, dm letter along with sow,msa and client letter.

My GI team is yet to respond to RFE as I have resigned from my current employer and transfer is filed by another employer. There also I got RFE :) Yet to know the reason ;)

As per the comments above, how do we find out whether we got RFE for Speciality Occupation or not ?
I got email from attorney and he is asking for the following:
1. SOW,Client letters,org chart,team chart,project details(plan,roles and responsibilities)
2. Education details to verify I am qualified for speciality occupation

Is this generic template ?
I basically feel, they have asked for everything again, but , not sure why

Is it good/bad to file rfe response in premium ?
My project got ended last week and I might have to file for amendment after the rfe approval,since new project under new client starts in March first week.

@sharadj & TeamBhp: Can I know how long it took for Infy GI to let you know the RFE details? Did they submitted RFE response? Today, I got RFE and my 240 days will get over by 3/31.

Infy takes 1 week to tell you the reason. Please follow up with the GI TEAM. I have not submitted the rfe yet. Waiting for the new msa and sow. Push gi team to provide you the information quickly as 240 days approaching for you.

Thanks. Help desk people were telling it will take 2 weeks to get RFE copy and then another 1 week for SPOC to review and let us know what the RFE is for. So long to go with days running out :-) .

Yeah converted to premium on 1/28.

@sphon : Drop an email to Mithun and then he will reply to you saying someone from hai team will reach out to you as soon as they receive RFE reason notifications.
FYI : Even though my was premium GI team took 42 days to respond to USCIS.
