after 2 months

not a single H4 or EAD approval from Nebraska center in April

expecting h4/EAD somewhere near to end of may motnh.

I applied for expediting the request as I am on forced leave .... they rejected it and told me that because of back log they are not expediting any EAD approvals ... when they stopped premium processing they clearly said expedite request would still be open ..

I am also on forced leave since apr 20. If I don't get my ead with in two weeks, I have to quit my job. don't know what to do.

I read on the forums that a lot of people got their cases expedited citing that (and rightly so) as a reason to expedite. But this time it seems USCIS has different plans. @Anur1 did you try to expedite your case ?

I raised the SR two weeks back, still there is no moment.

Raising an SR when you reach the 75 day window should have an effect. You may try to do it at that time.

I did on 5.21....they assigned today ...and closed it today

I meant 4.21. Took 20 days for assignment

Is it applied with h1b premium or standalone ead?

All 3 together

How do you expedite the process and what would be the reason for it.
Also, I dont see SR for I765. Where to submit SR?

@ ashish2119 so what was the outcome of raising SR ? they closed without any action ? or you got your case approved ?

My SR is currently not assigned for processing.

@banty it was declined .. they said they are not expediting because of backlogs...

what worries me is the fact ..when EAD was launched in 2015 they had stopped premium processing for 1 month ... and they thought that's good enough to process EAD's ...which were for a big population... but now I have seen only a few approvals till now ... i think they are done with H1's ..so not sure when will they process

@Banty any update? what if at least H4 don't get approved before expire date ? Should we leave US till we get approval ? I guess so or is there any time period to wait as we have receipt number ?

@arnavmote For H1 and H4 holders they can stay up to 240 days in USA from the expiry of their visa (H1 or H4) while their case is pending with uscis.

@arav for h4 there is nothing like 240 days ... you can stay in the country until its pending .....

H4 and EAD case still pending. For H1 240 days limit is there, may be not for H4. The only people stuck up on H4/EAD are those whose H1 got approved in March. but now again uscis is processing H1,H4 and EAD all of them together.

I think we need to some how get together and make a case for processing eads before we loose jobs... Like writing an email...that 90 days is fine...but since there is no automatic extension ...they should consider expiry dates...calls for a petition.... or get in touch with ACLU ... something which gets attention...

I don't think its going to help ... from a few people who have raised SR's or reached out to the congressman .. almost all I have seen here are denied .. they are being denied even after articulating that they have jobs ... and they are going to loose them... so clearly loosing ones job is not a criteria big enough to warrant expedite processing ....or makes USCIS concerned and they prioritize... Its as if they have a plan and they will start processing based on it only... There is a teleconference on 06/08 where in we can ask ... hopefully we get before that ...

Thanks @ h4eadCheck @achillestroy , one of my friend also received H4,EAD last week and he applied around first of march. looks like they have started picking up march cases.
Lets see how long it takes to move from "card being produced" to approval and card sent. H4 is still stuck at "case received" that's sort of weird.

I have raised the SR two days back, it was assigned to officer yesterday. Just now I got the reply from uscis saying as they need additional 60 days to process the application.

Did u call them ...as to what are the reasons ? ...How long till your current one expires ??

I called them and asked to raise the enquiry about my h4 ead, because it has already passed 75 days. Mine was expired on Apr 20th.

No .. i was asking that when they told you 60 more days ... did u call them back and told them that you are going to loose your job ? what did they told u then ?

Hey have you got approval/EAD card in mail? How long it took after status change in site?
