Discuss allendsup23's H4 EAD USCIS Case

Hi Would you please update the status so that we all know just for the sake of this community to take advantage of this tracker?

Yes I will update the status as soon as there is an update. Currently there is no update on h4 ead case. As I mentioned this was filed with h4 receipt. H4 got approved on jan 30 , 2018 so now we can expect some action on ead cAse though it may take few months.

OK, but it won't take that long to approve EAD, once the H4 is approved. Did you raise any SR for this?

I have not raised any SR yet.

If H4 EAD is filed with H1/H4 then they get approved together. If H4 EAD is filed separately and that too with H4 receipt, then it takes time. They start considering H4 EAD application after H4 is approved. So it will take 2-3 months from H4 approval date. You can say this H4 EAD application is received on Jan 30, 2018 (date when H4 was approved).

One of my friend did the same last year. When H4 was approved, he called USCIS. They said your application real time starts now after H4 approval. It was approved 2 months later.

Moreover this is with Vermont center (slowest in all). Vermont is processing September I-765 applications.

I thought of raising SR today and checked the case status. It says "Card is ordered on Feb 27". So I think it was approved on Feb 27. Good that I filed it with H1/H4 receipt and did not wait for their approval. It took same time to get approved.
