Yes it was. H1B approved on Mar 25th.

Received I539 and I765 receipts on Mar 27th . Awaiting biometric appointment letter. Considering COVID-19 situation, doesn't look like it'll be anytime soon.

Isn't I539 a H4 extension receipt not H4 EAD? or are both same?

Planning to meet with some congressional staff from my state next couple of days. Want to show them this is not just one or 2 people. Can you please sign this - there really are easy solutions they can implement, but won't without congress pressure. Please share with your networks, whether impacted or friends/family of those impacted - or just advocate for common-sense. Thanks a lot for your time.

If your application filling date is more then 90 days then I recommend opening Service request with USCIS for bio metric letter not received.

I had opened service request online for bio metric letter not received after my 90 days of filing date . Not sure if that triggered to get our bio metric scheduled or just a coincidence.

Thank you for suggesting service request route. I was going by what call center said, which is BIOMETRICS WILL BE SCHEDULED WITHIN 90 DAYS OF LOCAL ASC reopening. Did you open service request online? Asking because call center will not take request for expediting biometrics and even if they do, it eventually gets rejected.

Hi @H4EAD2020/@neel2k1

Our H-4 and H-4 EAD was filed on 19th March, 2020 (CA service center). We're yet to receive biometrics appointment letter. Our requests to expedite the i-765 application was denied couple of times.

Can you pls share how we can expedite our application to receive bio metric appointment letter?

Thanks so much in advance.

Did multiple things. Raised online service request for the non-receipt of biometrics. Talked to tier 2 support multiple times and eventually, they scheduled biometrics for me.
May I know the reject reason for your I-765 expedite request?
Posted by chakrinpalli
02 Oct 2020 #52
@H4EAD2020 There is what it says in USCIS page.

On August 14, 2020, we denied your request for expedite processing of your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, Receipt Number XXXXXX. You did not provide evidence of an extreme emergent need.

How do we raise online service request? Once they issue biometrics letter do you see any status update in USCIS status page?
Posted by H4EAD2020
02 Oct 2020 #53
Thank you sharing reject reason.

I used Did Not Receive Notice By Mail under Case Inquiry (USCIS eRequest) to raise the service request. Status does not change when they issue biometrics letter. It changes after completion of biometrics and that too take some time. I suggest you call USCIS call center and ask them to talk with tier 2 for getting biometrics appointment scheduled.

Will wait for 3 weeks.
Does biometric appointment depend on the primary H1B approval? We are still waiting for H1B after RFE response.

Congrats H4EAD2020...
How were you able to raise SR with eRequest in california considering it does not let you raise the request if it's before 12 -15 months.
Posted by akay85
04 Nov 2020 #72
Yeah, that's what my experience as well. It doesn't allow me to raise expedite requests as it says the case is under processing times. For H4 or H4-EAD. We applied on May 19th 20.
