INTERVIEW DETAILS!!!!
Ok guys, I just want to say to my fellow gay family here, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE relax and stop stressing (at least worry a little less), in the end you are gonna look back like I am currently, and realize its not that difficult of a process or such a stressful and big of a deal for the interview. (I PERSONALLY THINK THE HARDEST PART WAS NOT KNOWING and the UNCERTAINITY we lived, PRIOR TO DOMA BEING STRUCK DOWN, if you got through those years together, this is like a cake walk!) As long as you are not in no sham marriage etc, you will be fine,( DONT WORRY GUYS) especially if you have been together a long time like most of us gays! HERE IS OUR TIME LINE for our Interview
Our Interview was at 11-15am, (eleven fifteen, sorry my colon button is not working on my laptop), we got there at 10-50am after going through security etc. So my hubby and I was SHOCKED to see sooo many people waiting in this huge room, we were well dressed, soft shirt, tie, etc, but I guess not every one thinks you need to be dressed up.. (I know im SHADY, BUT its TRUE!!! some people were looking as if they came from a night of drinking and every one was there for adjustment of status, because an IO combed the ENTIRE room asking!!!)...
We waited until 12-45PM and finally we were called (2hrs total wait). The couple next to us had been waiting since 8-30am and the wife was pissed!!(they got called 10mins before us) While we were sitting there we were people watching and IO watching, I was hoping to get one of the sweet looking female IO, some looked really mean and bitchy to us, (I personally feel more comfortable with females than straight males) so that was our running joke to pass the time. By this time all my nerves were gone and it just seemed like a hoop to jump through.
