Possibly helpful tip: If you ever had an I-140 approved through a previous employer, it is quite likely that you could recapture the priority date of that I-140 and not have to wait so many years before I-485. If you are sure this might fit your case, I can point you to more details. If not, please ignore.

Thanks for your suggestion. I was cursing my employer who is slow in the process and delayed it.
