Hi abi07,

My I140-NIW received by NSC on June 02 2010 and notice date is 3rd June. I filed SR and waiting for another 60 days. Did you file SR too?

Thanks

Yes, I called the USCIS on Dec 06 and the CSR raised a SR saying that my case is really out of processing time frame and she told me to call back again after 30 days if I don't hear anything. I haven't heard anything from them except a letter saying that they have received my SR and my case is going through extended review. I don't know what does it mean. Regarding your case, I had read that it was approved but why is it again processing now?

How did you hear about my case? After getting the SR response letter (hard copy) that said, case was approved, I filed another SR asking where is my approval letter. Surprisingly, I got an e-mail response that says, case is still under process, wait 60 more days. I took INFOPASS but just waste of time. Just waiting. I have no idea which one is correct, approval or processing.

Thanks. What is the RFE about?

It is most general RFE I think. My understanding is because of attorney presentation.
RFE was about "past record of specific prior achievement that justifies projections of future benefits of national interest. You must establish, in some capacity, your ability to serve the national interest to a substantially greater extent than the majority of your colleagues. You must demonstrate to some degree your influence on your field of employment on the whole"
Do you mind to share your attorney" [email protected]"
Are you going to use same attorney for I-485 or thinking for self petition?
Thanks

I didn't use an attorney at all. I did everything myself with the help of DIY kit. I am going to file I-485 myself. By the way, did you use attorney? If yes, who is he/she?

For some reason, I do not want to write his name here, but if you want to know I can send it to your e-mail. However, he is from California.
Thanks

I hope you already have submitted your I-485. Today I got approval too. I am also planning to file I-485 myself. Would you please let me know what information/letter you have obtained from your employer.

Thank you in advance

Hi abi07,

Are you in I-485 trackitt? I did not see you there but see in some forum that you have completed your fingerprint. I think I am just following you. I also just (13th April) completed our fingerprints.

Thanks

Hi sonusonyal2,
I haven't added my case on tracker yet. My I-485 notice date is Feb 28, 2011. Yes, we walked in for FP with my wife on March 25th but since then there is no change in the status. I think yours will be approved earlier than mine because the processing time at NSC is 4 months whereas at TSC it is 6.5 months. Good luck.

I do not believe the processing time matter much as it always depends on person to person and who are looking your case. I have filed on Feb 24, a week later than you and my notice date is exactly Feb 28. Like you (I read on your post very late) I also received 11 year old minor for fingerprint. I called to FBI yesterday and confirmed that they have sent it to USCIS on same day for me and my wife. However, they could not locate my kid's FP record. I called customer service (USCIS) and asked about kid's FP, however I could not satisfy from thier response. Later, I realized since minor does not have to go through name check, FP record did not go through FBI, insted to might directly be sent to USCIS. I explained it to update you and know if you have similar expereince or understanding. Thanks and good luck to you as well.

Thanks for the information. By the way, what # did you call to reach FBI? I may try to call them to be assured.

304-625-5590. They will ask A#, Name and DOB. Please let me know what did they say about your kid.

Thanks

I just called the # you gave me and the CSR said that my wife's and my FP check was done the same day and sent back to the USCIS (though FP was done at 1:30 PM CST). That's superfast. But she didn't find my child A# as you mentioned about yours. So, I think it is normal process for a child under 14.

Right. They are very fast to send fingerprint and little slow in name check and/or background check. Based on your confirmation about the child, as I said earlier child do not need to be checked for name and background, so it is now more clear. I was thinking to go with infopass to make it clear but I will not go now. I will update here if I get further updates like AP, EAD or anything else. Thanks for the update.
