Discuss ravim's I-140 USCIS Case

congrats.. i am also doing eb3 to eb2... recently got my i140 approved.. wondering how long it takes after the I140 approval.. if u don't mind.. update ur progress.. thanks

Attorney got the I-140 Approval on 09/13 with old PD and old A#. I created a SR on I-485 and sent email to [email protected] and [email protected]. Got an automated reply from [email protected]. Waiting for I-485 get updated to EB2...

thanks for the quick reply, i didn't know i can create SR .. can you point me where instructions available for doing so.. and while emailing did u attach the I140 approval attachment?... or any specific instructions..

I-485 is employee application, so we can create a SR if we want. After checking the I-485 status via 1-800-375-5283, speak with L1 CSR and ask for L2 because I-485 is pending for long time. With L2 officer, ask for creating SR. I created SR for knowing i). Is my I-485 linked with EB2 with old PD and ii). Why is I-485 pending for long time. I used the standard template for email which is available in forums and not attached I-140 approval. Infopass and congressman in my list after 45 days from I-140 approval and no (or meaning less) response for SR or emails.

ravim, how did you responded to your 140 RFE which asks for employer letter? I am also filing 140, I have one employer letter with skills,projects for 3 years and two affidavits details skills + simple expereience letter from employer stating salary and dates for another 2 years.
Do you seen any issues? Also did your letters have same word to work as in your PERM/Wage determination?

avishah, My old employer gave a letter with some skill missing from PERM. Attorney didn't want to initially submit missing skills letter. We submitted only ex-colleague affidavit at initial filing. After RFE, I went to old employer and got letter with some more skills and mentioning related technologies. submitted new letter to USCIS as RFE response. Some friends submitted simple employer letter and affidavits and got approved. I don't see a issue there. Not all the companies will give letter with skills (company policy!!!). My letter is totally different than PERM. Best of luck.

ravim, thanks mate for the detailed reply. Yes my old employer is also not giving stating it as a company policy. My lawyer was tool strict to match it word by word as in PERM. I hope everything goes well. Did you also file Interfiling request along with 140? What are the additional doc or steps for porting?

avishah, No problem. My attorney might have submitted porting request and interfiling request. I don't know and I am not able to get answer from attorney as our company no longer using them. They took my FIOA I-140 application (I don't have my old I-140 approval copy, company policy!!!) and I-1485 receipt. For porting, there is an option in I-140 application. Interfiling is done by a formal letter.
