Hello, did you file I-485 too? If yes, did you file it concurrently with I-140 or not?

Hi, I was wondering have you heard from USCIS recently?
Since the beginning of November the Nebraska Service Center has transferred a lot of cases from February and March 2016 to the Texas Service Center. Has your case transferred to the Texas Service Center?

Thanks GreenCard,

My credentials are similar to yours. I hope everything goes well. Did you hire a lawyer? If so would you mind sharing the name?

Thanks

Hi HariyoCard;
Although I haven't put my case in tracker, I am also like you waiting since Feb 19 (and I have seen many others waiting for >10 months). It's damn frustrating, I know, and we can't be any more helpless. I had 9 papers, 3 first author, 38 citations, and postdocing here in US after having MS/PhD from here. Can't do anything but wait and keep googling every other thread !! :(

Well, I understand.
I can feel the anxiety, uncertainty, and pain associated to long waiting and my very best wishes to everyone out there. In my case, I filed NIW in Feb 19, then waited, waited, and waited with lots of hope until I got RFE on Aug 23 :( RFE was very general, asking for all 3 prong tests, without any specifics, but at one point they mentioned something irrelevant to my application (may be they mismatched with other application, I don't know). I mean, RFE said that "you have said that you plan to work on this ..... company, please provide more specifics etc." which was totally erroneous as I never said that on my letter and that "company" was not related to my area of specialty as well. So, I sent the response with 4 more letters of recommendation and one cover letter, and again waited, waited, and waited. Damn, this waiting was not fun at all. I know you all know what I'm talking about. Everyday, from early morning to late night, you keep thinking abt it and checking status online. Even if you receive some texts from your friends, you are like you got a decision...... lol ....It's crazy.
And finally, on Dec 14, at 8'oclock, I got a text that my case has been updated. That 30 seconds (between I received text, and checked my status) were like bungee jump :)
And I saw "my case was approved"......... and then I know you guys can understand (particularly those who have been waiting for at least 6 months or more) what that means, right !!?
and then I started pouring some Makers Mark on Rocks :)
Hope you guys can do the same in near future. Very best wishes from an experienced petitioner like you all.
Merry Christmas everyone.

@HariyoCard,
I am also from Nepal just filed I-140 on Nov 15,got shocked after I saw a Receipt noitce from NSC . I was quite positive it will go through TSC since many cases from NSC were transferred to TSC around first week of Nov. Few of my conspiracy theory friend suggested every case was routing to TSC in Nov but it was't true. Just looking these >300 days waiting time makes me neurotic everyday. can we talk to each other at lest to share the frustration. you can reach me at krdsmile at yahoo.

I am also trying to file I-485 but no idea should we do it now or wait till I-140 get approved? Can someone enlightened me ?

Went for Infopass on March 15th, office had nothing new to update me except she raised a new SR with RD of 03/30/17. Will pursue congressional inquiry if no updates by March 30.

@HariyoCard: Have you tried Congressional inquiry? If yes, what response/assurance you got.

Thanks and good luck!

@gc4phunshukh: We're still waiting. If the Congressmen's office doesn't hear anything by Monday (6/12/17) noon, they will directly call the USCIS in the afternoon. The inquiry was sent earlier this week.

Thanks!

My case was finally assigned to an adjudicating office on 07/06/17 after two congressional inquiry. Here is the timeline.

RD: 02/22/2017
Transfer from NSC to SRC: 11/04/2017
Transfer from SRC back to TSC: 04/06/2017
1st congressional inquiry: April 30. Got a response around mid May to check back with NSC congressional unit after 10 days if no update
2nd congressional inquiry: Late May. Got response on 07/06/2017 that it nhas been assigned to an adjudicating officer
Approval: 07/12/2017
Approval notice: communicated via text and email on 07/13/2017

Modest credentials at best!! 6 papers (2 first authors, 50+ citations, most of the citations were from non-first author papers), 10+ conference proceedings, 6 rec letters (4 independent/international) at the time of filing. 8 papers, ~100 citations now. Currently a postdoc at a top tier University.
