How many days did it take for you to receive the RFE? and also how many days did they give you to respond?

wikiuser, it took approx. 5 days to receive the RFE. I was required to response within 45 days. However, after they receive RFE, it's already almost 75 days and no LUD or nothing.

kvdtw - what is your RFE about? Just trying to know what kind of cases does he handles. Mine has been pending for almost more than 76 days approx. My lawyer has put an inquiry after 60 days and was told to wait for next 45 days after that.

All W2's going back to date of labor filing (2003), experience letters and company buyout proof (the original company was acquired a year after filing)

I am in the same boat, my RFE was replied on 6/9/08, and no updates since then, not even update the USCIS received my documnent, then my lawyer called then on 7/15, USCIS asked her to call back in two weeks. on 7/31 she called them back and they said sometime officers sent their cases to supervisors and they have 500+ cases to look at, so now USCIS asked us to call back in 30 days, so I am crossing my fingures to get something by 8/31 or my lawyer will call them back on 9/2 (FYI - My Lawyer is FDBL)

dgupta - almost same thing with me. I don't know if we can do anything other than requesting the lawyer to call USCIS. This looks quite uncertain and like shooting in dark :(

My reply to my I140 rfe went nowhere, too. My layer replied on 8/1/08 and the tracking number showed the USCIS received the documents on 8/4/08. However, there was no update whatsoever in my case status. After reading this thread, I check the IO# and it was NSC/JMR EX189, too. Does it mean something? Is this particular officer delaying all the process? It's so frustrating.

Hey trackim, what is the exact RFE about foreign education. Yeah, at least now we know three guys whose cases are with this particular IO. All three cases are taking unexpectedly longer. Not sure what can be done about it.

My rfe was also foreign education (PhD degree) and work experience letters.
