Hi, I also filled for Substitute labor around the same time period as you are (notice date Jun/18) at the Texas centre. Was yours substitute labor? Can you keep me updated with your case status whenever there is a change. I will do likewise. Thanks and Good luck!

No mine was regular labor. Good luck with yours! I just got I-140 approved yesterday 11/26, EAD and AP docs have been sent to me around 11/08, biometrics FP has been completed on 11/14. That just leaves me with 485 to be approved and then GC mailed to me. The processing times on USCIS web site say 6 months for 485 approval...so from Received date, 6 months is Feb-end, God willing.

Congrats! Nice one.
Thanks for the update. Actually according to the Dec Visa Bulletin for EB3 the priority date is May/1/2001 for the 485 to be processe. Since your date is Feb/22/2004, i don't think your 485 will be approved in 6 months.

Sorry to give you the bad news.

thanks for the info.... but I would be surprised if you 485 is approved before 2-3 years to come, unless they change the laws.... www.immigrationvoice.org is the site you should visit and support, if you want GC faster..... thanks....

I'm not clear about the time frames. For I-140s, the processing time needed by the Texas Center was 6 months, my I-140 was approved in 5 months. When I look at the processing times for I-485s in Texas as of their Nov 14 bulletin , they say 6 months needed...that puts me somewhere in April 2008. Even earlier, the Sept bulletin for the Texas Center said they were working on August 2006 cases for I-485s. But the latest numbers regarding retrogression say that USCIS is still handling 2003 priority cases for India. I don't know who is right and who is wrong.

I checked the 'Texas processing times' site again and they state there that for cases filed after June 1, 2007 , they expect to take about 16-18 months to process. I'm just crushed. I guess I'll have to wait till 2009 at least....From ecstasy to agony....Please God...help!

Dont go by processing times on service centers.... Go by the visa bulletin.... look at your priority date. It is in 2004. EB3 priority dates are in 2001 right now. 140000 only get approved every year. That also in all catagories. EB1, EB2, EB3, and EB5. So if you assume that they will continue with that trend, it will be years before they get to your case. I am not trying to disappoint you, or scare you. I am also in line and I am very mad that we have to wait for these years.... My priority dates are in 2003, but I dont expect to see an approval on I 485 for at least 2 years, if the trend continues....
Processing times on Texas or Nebraska are jokes. They are very misguiding....

Checking the April visa bulletin, it's taken USCIS from Dec 2008 to Mar 2009, to move from priority date of 15Oct2001 till 1Nov2001. That's 3 months to move forward 15 days. By that rate, to get to 2002 will take still longer (even if paperwork is approved by a processing center). And to go from 2002 to 2003, and then from 2003 to 2004 will take several years, not just 1 or 2 or 3 years. Is this to be expected or does anyone have any other information about proposed approval dates?
