If you don't mind, may I ask what the RFE was about and the further evidence that you provided? I applied a month after you (Texas) but have not had any LUDs to-date (except for the address change). Good-luck with your application.

Hi sb,
My RFE just asked for my original offer letter. My university contract is funny in that I am issued a contract renewal every year, in spite of my appointment being a tenure-track one -- and the contract does not include that term. My offer letter does indeed include it. So we just sent that in. I will update my case as soon as I hear anything about it.

Good luck with your application as well.

Hi biglentil

Thanks for your prompt reply. It seems like a pretty simple RFE, should be smooth sailing. Hopefully the folks at USCIS don't make it more complicated than it has to be. Oh out of curiousity, how many days did they give you to reply to the RFE? I keep seeing conflicting numbers on the forum. All the best and thanks again

Hi sb001,
The RFE gave me 30 days -- it was mailed on Dec 30, and we had until Jan 29 to respond. Since it was simple, we sent it back the very next day after receiving it.

Hi Lentil...good to see some kind of forward movement in EB1B NSC applications. It was on standstill for last 2 months. Good luck in your RFE.

Did you have any soft LUDS before you got the RFE. I was just wondering bcos my spouse applied under EB1B on Feb 28 2008 and there has been no LUDS at all after the application received one in march of last year.
Thank you.

No, there were no LUDs. The first thing I heard about the petition was the RFE.

Good luck!

I just got a similar RFE for the offer letter. I have a tenure track position. My problem is that my offer letter is funny the same way biglentil pointed but.
My offer letter begins:
"I am pleased to offer you a full-time, tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor in the XXX
Department, within the College of XXX, for the Fall, Winter and Spring Quarters of the 2008-2009 academic year and for
the Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters of the 2009-2010 academic year beginning September 15, 2008 and ending on June 12,
2010."

It does have an end date in the offer letter. Any ideas?
