RFE sent Jan 28, 2009. The RFE finally arrived today (Feb 5). They want to see my birth certificate. Funny, though, since I already sent my BC with the petition. We are sending it back out now. CPO on 2/27/09 for both primary and spouse.

Hi - my case was essentially similar to yours - including the RFE for the formal final contract. I was wondering if the processing for your I-485 is taking place at Nebraska as well. I am not sure which cases get transferred to the Field Offices and which ones are processed at the Service Centers. Thanks.

I sent the RFE back, and they received it on Feb 17. The case is still at Nebraska afaik.

Thanks EB1CGreen. I hope the approval comes soon as well.. So far, there has been no movement on CRIS.

Hi again! I have an RFE coming on my I485 - my attorney thinks it is most likely about the birth certificate. I was wondering what you submitted - my birth certificate is something the Indian consulate gave me when I asked them where I could get my original birth certificate translated. The original is in Hindi. I should probably just wait for the RFE before spending any time on it, but I thought I might try and get this out of the way as soon as I can. Thanks a lot for your help.

The documents I submitted in response to the RFE were the following:

1. Color copy of original birth certificate
2. Affidavit (notarized, original) from mother, father, and an aunt (all present at the time of birth) confirming that the birth cert is in fact mine.

Hope this helps.

biglentil,
looks like u received ur gc in hand only after 2 weeks of CPO while most of them seem to receive in a weeks time. any reason why urs was delayed? it's 8 days for me since CPO and no gc in hand. i moved last year; so i'm concerned they should not send to my old address. i got the welcome notice to my address though.
