I got approval notice yesterday in mail. Site shows USPS is suppose to deliver cards on Friday. and yes, enjoying green by having no stress and one big project is finally getting closure. Retrogression news really was depressing and too much of stress that if i dont get GC in november, then i have to wait again 7-8 months.

How you been doing after GC? which state you are in?

Congrats to both of you once again. I have submitted updated i9, finished formalities with SSN and got new SSN cards, got new DL as well. I want to say that the experience with DL extension was the best. I had carried all docs like i always do and Guy asked me "the system shows you are on a temporary visa. is your status the same" and I told him "No Sir, I received by Green Card" and he said Congratulations and asked me for nothing other than GC. Usually I had to visit at least 3 times before I get it, this time it was done in 60 seconds....

I must say, i am so much relieved and GC is surely something we should be thankful about and celebrate about.

msdba1 - for me USPS said my cards would be delivered on a Friday but it was actually delivered on the Tuesday of next week. Of all the things I experienced, that was the Knoxville effect... and trackitt had all the info about it to keep me cool.

That's great. I have plans to go to Canada next month. My PR to Canada expired last month so glad that i dont have to take visa to travel there. USPS is showing that they are going to deliver cards today. Can't wait to reach home from work. I work remote most of time but came to office today for change. Didn't realize that cards will be out for delivery 1 day early.

Tomorrow will go to SSN office. I got my DL renewed in Sep13. This time they gave me limited term license so now again have to go to get it converted back.

So you don't need a Canadian visa if you have US GC to visit Canada?

no visa required if you have GC. Just travel with this and PP and you are good. Of course they only allow GC as tourist visa alternate which means we cannot work for sure there. Same goes for Mexico. As long as say in NAFTA, we can travel with no visa and only GC+PP.

I was looking at your case notes. How come your 140 EB2 approved in Nov13 when GC in Oct13. May be typing mistake there.

Yes thats correct.... extra time and somewhere in my mind, I have a newly found peace... I have started using my extra time to learn some basics of options trading.. this is the only thread in trackitt i open when i get an email alert...

glad to hear that. We should always have something to look forward to. i am pretty much done myself with trackitt. Most of threads have died anyways.
