Basically lawyers re-filed immediately indicating my country of changeability wasn't India but Singapore. Hoping this speeds things up.

Dear Friend,
Even my case is similar to yours. My I-140 was approved on May 2nd and my I-485 filed on December 10th. Even though I was born in India my wife was born in UAE and applied based on cross-chargeability.
I had received my EAD. Hopefully should not be any issue . Did you received your EAD after you resend the application explaining country of chargeability?
Let me know if you receive any update
Thanks

yes EAD/AP were received only after I resent application and only then the finger print fee was accepted. Ironically, I got the EAD / AP was approved even before my fingerprinting.
