hi txwarrior, I do not know. I am planning to take another infopass appointment and see if the name check has been finished.
Your case has been pending only for 125 days. May be you will not be stuck in the name check.

Hi txwarrior, I had an infopass today and this time she just said my background check is pending.
Last time, I was told that everything is done except name check.
I believe it is still name check pending. Lets hope its gets completed soon.

Hi Batsy, some how I missed your message. This is one of the nicest things someone has said to me lately. One of the reasons I decided to stay here after grad school was the people like you who are progressive and accepting enough to see beyond the boundaries of religion, nationality and race.

Hi there,

I can see you are from Pakistan so I was just wondering if you can give me any advice regarding the I-485 RFE. I got the RFE regarding expired medicals, Nikah nama and Birth certificates. I submitted the NADRA Marraiage registeration certificate but i think they are looking for Nikah nama. But my main concern is about the Birth certificate. I did submit the NADRA Birth certificate issued by local Tehsil Municipal office but RFE is saying that I submitted the family registration certificate. Is it a mistake on USCIS behalf? Any advice/suggestion in this regard will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Best
