The interview was at my LFO in Louisville, KY. The officer was nice and courteous. Went over all info filled in I-485. Asked if I was still working with the employer for whom i had submitted I-485J in response to RFE. SInce i had ported gave him new 485J

A bit confused with concurrent, why you call it concurrent filling although you didn't file/submit I-140 and I-485 together? I am under impression that it is only called concurrent when we file at the same time, is this assumption is wrong? Am asking because my case is similar to yours.

My understanding is that filing of the I-485 before approval of the I-140 filed is classified as concurrent. My filing of I-485 was delayed due to the retrogression.

Did you switch JOBS after EAD received ? I guess that is the reason why you submitted the 485J - but want to know if that is the case .

Thanks, few follow up questions.

When your 485 interview completed ,you were with the second organization and you provided 485j the second time, but this was for the portability(option 1b in the 485j form)? I have read that you should file a 485J as soon as you switch but, it seems you didn't do that till they asked for it during the interview...did I get it correct?

Did the IO ask for EVL too?

Also, when you switched..did you provide just your EAD to the new organization and told them to provide the 485j and EVL during interview?

Frankly I am overwhelmed to finally find a fellow who has switched on L1A EAD ...there are many H1B out there using the AC21 and 485j.

I will highly appreciate your response.
