You may not get receipts until after Nov 26. I filed on 5th Oct and got receipts in mail on 11/13. If you have filed G-1145 (text alerts) you will get alert with receipt number before they mail the official receipts.
Hi, your FO is greer - SC, right? I am MSC21903 series, I just got my ead approved. I am actually waiting for medical RFE. Have you submitted medicals? What is your current status?
If you get interview then letter will have details of what needs to bring. Basically all the documents original as well as copy which were submitted with I-485. Plus birth certificate of your kids too even kids are US citizens and not applying with you. That is needed to prove your marriage based on interview letter.
Interview letter Employer verification letter Original and copy of your birth certificate and affidavits if you have submitted with I-485 Original and copy of marriage certificate Last 3 months paystubs, bank statements (joint with your spouse) Last 3 years W2 and joint tax returns/transcripts If you have any joint asset then copy of that like property Deed or Title and car and health insurance again to prove marriage. Original and copy all I-797s since you entered first in US
Congrats @sameerh1bworke on your GC. Would you mind clarifying if you submitted I-693 along with your application in Oct 2020 or did you receive Medical RFE, if so when did you receive the Med RFE. This will be helpful to understand how USCIS is processing cases submitted around the same timeline as you.
Follow Charlie video, he said documentary qualified will have visa numbers s assigned. USCIS might be processing those faster as it has all documents including medical.
I would strongly suggest to inter file medical if one has not submitted along with the application.
Just be ready to pay medicals about 500 again if in case USCIS issues RFE even after inter filing. But better to increase chances by inter filing it now.
Thanks, @sameerh1bworke, this is extremely helpful. I read in other forums where the legal advisors discouraged inter-filing of medical requests quoting that it's frowned upon by USCIS. Do you happen to know if anyone had success with the inter-filing of medical records?
Not sure which legal advisor your are talking about. Because listen to Attorney Reddy videos, he mentioned multiple times to do that and even you do not need attorney to inter file. You can do by yourself and he said how to do and how simple it is.
Again still talk to your attorney and then decide.
I saw in some forums where someone asked questions about interfiling and it seemed some experts were giving advice. Wish I had bookmarked it. If it's not too much, could you share the link of the attorney you're suggesting. Will be super helpful. Thanks in advance.
Have you applied for EAD and AP? It seems they bypassed that for you and sent you interview directly as you have medicals with your 485 package. I tried to interfile after hearing Reddy on facebook, but my attorney is saying no. My date is now current so confused on what to do...
Based on Reddy, inter filing medical will not negatively impact. Worst case if USCIS loose it then you will have to redo. When we spent this many $$ spending few 100s more of this worst scenario should not be any issue. And if USCIS matches with your file then it makes you documentary qualified and can be assigned a visa number so it does not go waste and may help to speed up your application .
It's not quite that simple. Im ahead of @sameerh1bworke on all steps but still behind him (check my profile). I filed medicals with 485 date received Oct 19th, Notice date Nov 16. The way USCIS process case is completely random, no logic whatsoever. Im not sure filing medicals with or without makes much difference. I have seen on this forum people who were issued RFE get GC before people who filed paper work together. It might make you feel better and just that and you may have to resend which will require new set of medicals. Not sure its worth the trouble.

NBC does not make decision, they transfer to local FO and if your FO has backlog then it may take time. Like someone just posted that he got interview letter with date Sept 21 - 2.5 months from now. I hope you get your GC soon.

NBC is not transferring to FO these days for EB category. Interviews waived for most applications. I was surprised to see you were scheduled for interview. You can check recent approvals most were scheduled interview.

Eb2mar11 - nope. Interview is all randomly. Like I mentioned before, interviewer was telling he does not know why our file came for interview as everything is clear in your file. He said sometime this happens.
