Regarding the RFEs, my wife's application had one today, the same day my I-485 got approved.

How soon did you get the RFE letter after you got the e-mail?

What can the RFE be about? Her medical was taken last year the same day like me.

OK so proof of legal status or birth certificate or any other document is fine since we can always fedex to the lawyer from overseas.

How about if they want to have her redo medical? Do you reckon we can do that at the US Immigration physician over there as well?

Thanks

Ok I finally got an IO to understand what I was asking of her. She took the request and said she sent a message to God knows where. Then she gave me the standard spiel of here is the ref number and give it 45 days before calling back. am I on the right path? Did they make the change on the call with you or did you wait some time and if so how long. Also how long after that did you get approved?

My lawyer is also working another route and has send them documents proving the incorrect classification.

Your feedback will be appreciated.

Thanks

I think she opened a service request and gave u a reference number for that. Do u know the IO's name, because when u call USCIS u can tell the IO that u spoke to XYZ the previous time. They told me that they will make a note and and let the concerned people know about it and it was taken care. Just keep following up with them and u can get this resolved before ur lawyer can.

best of luck

Thanks...
I actually was "escalated to an IO". No I did not take her number.
Again if you could give me your timeline that would keep my hopes up. If you remember please tell me how long this took for you.
