Sure Kailashnath, will update you, did you interfile your medicals?

I did not plan at this point to go with option of interfile medicals due to risk and delay involved. I am waiting for RFE for Medical. I will wait for couple of months to PD become current in FA chart. And if no RFE, then I would think for interfile medicals.

One you get GC, Please let me know. I would be interested to know due to your daughters pending engineering admissions. I had same situation and was very-2 worried.

you should be good, since you already received the GC now. My elder daughter is graduating from high school in next one month and she has been offered admission at a UC starting college from Auguest-2022. only thing is, UC financial AID office sent us a letter to submit copy of approved I-485 to get benefit on Fees or being considered as California resident for Fees purpose. my daughter full schooling is from California. only thing she was born in India. I have still not yet received financial AID offer/package from UC for her. She had made her decision to do her BS at a UC, only thing is if UC Financial AID office do not offer us same fees as being a GC holder/I-485 approved, then worst case our fees would be higher for initial years until she gets her GC/I-485 approval. Bhagwan se Yahi Pranthna Karte Hain Ki I-485 Approve Ho Jaye Ek-Do Mahine Mein...

Kailashnath - you were one amongst those top 3 that I was thinking to send a separate message letting know or my case status. Somehow I could not figure out how to send a 1-1 message. Hence I thought let me send a messsge anyway in the forum as I owe one and knew you will respond as one of those first ones.

I really wish your case moved to NBC shortly and If you ask me, send a TUB letter to NBC proactively with all receipts of EB2 140 approvals 485js if any, 485 receipt etc and trust me, it can trigger movement of your case from NSC to NBC anytime.

Thank you so "Miamidude" for all the inputs and kind words. yes, I will work to send a TUB letter to NBC along with EB2 I140 receipt & I 485 receipt.
Congratulations for your GC once again and Enjoy your freedom with your family & kids. I know, GC means a lot for you specific when we have our grown-up kids and their future tied to GC as gating item. wishing you good luck for your daughter college education. I would like to let you know that I work for a wireless semiconductor world Leader at San Diego CA for more than 10 years now and even I do not have any plan to change the Job after my GC. Only GC is critical for by kids, so their education can go well without too many troubles. (my elder daughter going to start BS, computer science at a UC in Aug 2022 and my younger daughter will be in Junior year high school in Aug 2022). GC is part of struggle for we high skilled legal immigrants born in India. only way is to face it and move on to keep doing better things in life.

Thank you my friend. I am equally positive that your case will move out of NSC - NBC soon and once that is done, it is a matter of few weeks. Given the speed at which adjudications and case movements are happening, things will get a lot better in the coming weeks. Do send the TUB letter as nothing is lost and go from there. In addition call or chat Emma and ask a dumb question as to which category your case is on and I am cent percent sure they do not know and will trigger a tier 2 call and you should tell tier 2 in a month when you get a call that your date is current and want to know when it will move or what category it is ON as you sent interfile as per instructions and want to know next steps. That will also cause somebody to open case and see what the hold up is and things will follow subsequently. Good luck again.

Kailashnath - Looks like you got 485J receipt notice on July 2nd as per your update. Good news and things moving in the right direction. Try calling Emma or chat asking your employment based category and they will create a ticket to Tier 2 call. Also send TUB letter referring to the 485j receipt number to NBC standard office address Lees summit one.

Thank you "Miamidude". Yes, I had received the physical copy of I-485 J on today (July 11th 2022). RD and ND date is June 8th and July 2nd respectively. I have a tier 2 call Request Placed on June 10th. And then later Customer support center people have created a WKD request for my Case. I have sent the EB3 to EB2 TUB letter + I-485, I-485 J copy etc to Nebraska and Montclair, CA on today (July 11th). I hope, if my case can get transferred to NBC in next couple of weeks, so that would be helpful.

Thank you so Miamidude for all the important inputs you shared with me. I think, I should have send one set of TUB + I-485, I-485 J Receipt etc to NBC, Lee's Summit, MO 64002 instead of sending it to Montclair CA.
I was little hesitant to send directly to NBC as USCIS direction is to send the TUB/Interfiling to a single centralized location they created for this purpose at Montclair, CA.

Should I send one copy of TUB letter to NBC, Lee's Summit. I think, there is no harm in sending the TUB letter to NBC or do you think I should wait for a week or two and then go on this option if no progress on case transfer to NBC. Time is critical, since just 2.5 months are left now for FY2022. Next two weeks can make a big difference for case adjudication process.

12 Jul 2022 #15
IMO it should not be an issue. We can send letters to any USCIS office given the time we have on hand. You already got a 485j receipt and if we get lucky, they may pick our file or request a file transfer from NSC as your date is current in EB2. If I were you, I will mail 485 receipt , 485j receipt, 140 EB2 and 3 approval copies and the letter all to NBC and see what happens. Good luck my friend.

Hi Miamidude,

Thank you once again to you from bottom of my heart. Bhagwan Mere Bachchhyon Ki Awaz Sun Rahe Hain. Now I became more optimistic to get greened in FY2022.

My case and my depends case has been transferred today (07/13/2022).

It looks like USCIS has been working aggressively now to transfer cases in bulk. What I have seen today is the biggest number transfer of cases for my LIN sub-series LIN2190182***.
(Total: 258 cases on this sub-series, 23 cases has been transferred today including mine).

Thank you to you both for wishes and Prayer, specific for my Kids. I would like to update you both that my elder daughter financial AID has been denied for Fall 2022 (For 1st Year) since University of California (UC) came back & said after multiple times discussion with them that it is must to produce PR/GC copy or provide I-485 approved copy. They asked us to pay the standard full Fees that is around USD 40K (total cost) per annum including Dorm + Food etc. She has been considered as California Resident but without any financial AID. If I can get say I-485 approved by Sep 30th, then they would consider for some refund if any financial AID award for her based in PR/GC status update. Looks like 4 year BS degree (Major: Computer Since & Engineering) would cost me USD 160K to 200K out of my Pocket. I have younger daughter starting her high school junior Year, so need to be ready for 2nd kid education cost with USD 150K to 200K in another two years time frame. Anyway, priority for me is their education whatever the cost may be..

13 Jul 2022 #25
Good luck my friend. I am sure GC will provide the aid your elder one is looking forward to. They will refund like they did for my elder one as she also did back and forth communications. Since we are different states, I think CA is tougher looks like. All the very best.
Posted by kailashnath
13 Jul 2022 #26
Thank you for sharing about that your Elder one got some refund after you got your GC. Looks like demand for UC's is very high since more people in CA state. My daughter got offered financial AID in other states like Arizona, Nevada and Washington. Her preference was to be in CA, so we went ahead with a UC even it is slightly higher from cost prospective.

WKD request was generated by a USCIS Tier-2 officer at his/her discretion on June 10th 2022, I had missed a call from Tier-2 officer for my SR dated May 20th 2022. After that I never got a call back, but USCIS team generated a WKD referral ID for my case at NSC. I have received an e-mail on July 14th and my WKD request response from NBC, Lee's Summit address as shown below.

"The status of this service request is:

Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action shortly."

I hope, some one might have touched my Case and NBC and working on it.

Hi mygctrackerr,

I had checked with Infopass agent a week back and as per them, my case was still at NBC (no status about transfer to a FO). I am on a vacation with family within US, so I have been slightly less active. No update about any RFE as of now.
I am still hoping & optimistic that my I-485 should get approved by Sep 30th 2022. We all should get greened before FY2022 is over in next 6 to 7 weeks.

Thank you so much. yes, It moved to Hieleigh field office as per update from agent on August 4th. Good to know your house is close to this place.

I interfiled medicals at NSC on 04/28/2022. Medicals attached or not?

Let's see if I can get further update from Hieleigh, FO in next couple of weeks.

Question - My case is transferred to NBC, Lee Summit, MO office on July 20th. I haven't done my medical yet as attorney is asking to wait until RFE.

My husband is a primary and his case just received for I-485J. Not sure why our cases are separated.

Any guidance?

09 Aug 2022 #43
Dear Kailashnath anytime from now you should see approval or case moving back to NBC for final approval or 485J Supp RFE. If your case goes back to NBC, that means your medical has been accepted or interfiled successfully. We have seen many many cases that are downgrades and those went back to NBC followed by RFE as I said before but the good news is after 2 weeks of response to RFE the case will get approved. Good you interfiled medicals in advance and this will save around a month and half time. If it is not attached then keep a copy of medicals ready to send again as FO will ask for it.

Good luck.

Dear Joana get your medical done and ready with 2 original copies of medicals. Do not wait for RFE. I interfiled last year and got attached and I got 485 approval without another RFE for medical. I recommend interfiling of medical copy to nbc now that your case is at nbc. This will trigger approval of your case also as soon as they see medicals coming in.

Yay and hearty congrats Kailash. I am very very happy for you and your family. I am sure you will now get college related matter sorted out soon. Friday is the day as we see the trend often. Mine was Friday, so is yours and many others were saying the same either Friday or Monday. Enjoy the moment , have a party and send us some nice CA based desi sweets. Looks like USCIS is on target to get 280k approvals this year.

Thank you once again for sharing all the detailed information including kids college admission.

Yes, I will work with financial AID office. Hopefully, they can adjust fees and consider for 2nd semester onwards.

World is small and we would meet somewhere.

I live in San Diego, CA and work for Qualcomm Inc.

I have been to New York with family vacation for a week time just couple of days back.

Looks, like USCIS definitely would utilize all 280K visa this year-FY2022. Even they might run short of visas, since more I-485 has been filed and many cases has been transferred to NBC.

Congratulations Kailashnath. Your case history seems to be very promising. May be if you can guide us the steps, that will be very helpful. By looking at the posts I can understand you have went through some process to follow-up. From reaching to emma and to talk with an officer.
My very first question can we file the medicals without RFE. everyone says its not recommended and it will delay the process. I didnt get any RFE for medicals. Thinking of sending on my own. I did my interfile and I got the receipt. Still my case is with TX only. Please share your thoughts.

15 Aug 2022 #51
Hi godiswatching,

Yes, medicals can be interfiled without RFE. would it attached to file/case or not? Interfiling medicals is a little hit & miss case (50/50 chance).

if your case is already transferred to NBC or FO? then I can not say if it is right time to interfile medicals. Yes, as per USCIS guideline they are saying do not interfile medicals. It might have been better to interfile medicals if case was still at original location NSC or TSC.

As per my understanding, Interfiling medicals would not delay the case, worst case interfiled medicals may not get attached or file, so it can be send 2nd time when you receive RFE for medicals.
Posted by godiswatching
15 Aug 2022 #52
Thanks for your response Kailashnath. Mine is still under the original location TSC. Let me get the medical done and try my luck. Any procedure or format to send the medical documents to USCIS or do we need attorney's help to do the same?

Thanks

Hi Guddut,

Thank you. I think, there is not much in your control for case transfer to NBC. You have submitted TUB+ I-485 J, so based on these docs, USCIS should transfer your case to NBC.

Wish you good luck for your GC.

Hello @kailashnath. Congrats on your GC approval. My EB2-India PD is 24-MAR-2014 (4 months before yours). I went for biometrics very recently - on 08-JUL-2022. I-485 and I-765 status shows 'Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken'. And I-131 status still shows 'On May 2, 2022, we received your Form I-131, Application for Travel Document'.
The fact that your I-485 got approved (with a later PD than mine) is giving me encouragement. I am trying to gauge when I can expect at least my EAD card. Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks in advance. Peace!

@ kailashnath Congrats for your GC once again . I hope now it will help in your kids education . I know you sent TUB to Nebraska service center , NBC Summit one and California service center .I have below questions.

1) Please could you let me know the address of Nebraska/NBS Summit one address where you send the TUB?
2) Did you send the TUB with copy I-485 , I-485 J , EB2 I-140 , right ? do you want me to add any other docs ?
3) On the envelope to USCIS , apart from the address do we need to mention any info like Attn , USCIS TUB .....?
4) I also got the call for tier 2 officer and he said that My case is still linked with EB3 and created the WKD request . After how many days of WKD we expect the call USCIS ?

Time is passing and now I am bit nervous so need your help on above . If its too much questions then you can send me email of above details on my email - [email protected].

Appreciate your help and response .Thanks in Advance.

Hi Guddut,

I have sent TUB letter along with following docs. address I opted
a) For NBC as per I-485 receipt address
b) NBC: as per I-485 transfer notice address.
c) Montclair, CA as per USCIS interfiling address.

It might have been over-kill to send TUB to three addresses, but I did it.
I do not know even if it helped for my case adjudication. I am not sure, if WKD request helped for my case. I have written very detailed information on two to three threads at trackitt about my WKD, so please search about WKD on trackitt and you can get full detail on this.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am enclosing the following documents in support of EB3 to EB2 interfiling request:
1. Copy of I-797C, USCIS I-485 receipt notice.
2. Copy of USCIS I-485 Supplement J receipt notice.
3. Copy of approved I-140 immigrant petition under EB2 category.
4. Copy of approved I-140 immigrant petition under EB3 category.
5. Copies of biometrics receipt
6. Recent paystubs from the sponsoring/current employer (last three paystubs)
7. sponsoring/current employer: Employment verification letter
8. Copy of my DL.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I used https://gcinfo.org/kb/gc/i-485-interfiling/ link to generate a TUB letter without Barcode (option).

I hope it helps.
