@avn008:

I got my 485 receipt very late. 1 week after the approval of my 485 approval. But the notice date on 485j is 6/29 (AOS approval on 7/3).

hope this helps.

hey fireworks8, congratulations and thanks for sharing. but just to confirm,
01 was your Priority Date: June 30, 2014 for EB2 ?
02 for you, was country of chargeability: INDIA ( and not USA as you have mentioned ) ?
03 was I-485J or Interfile ever done for you ?
04 did National Benefits Center ever get involved with the processing for your I-485 / I-485J ? If yes, which center / location was involved ?
05 when did you and your family members take the medicals ? and when did you submit those and how ?
06 how straightforward was the final experience ( after having completed the documentation work including medicals ) interview ( if any ) just waiting for final adjudication and the actual green card ?

your detailed answers will certainly help, so, please be patient and don't mind answering those.
thanks in advance. and congratulations again!

@joshyas

Thanks!

Answer to your questions:

01: Yes
02: It is India (it is in my tracker profile). Why would I be here if it was USA? lol
03: No, it is was a straight/standalone file, so no interfiling
04: It was always at NBC (I don't think it moved to any FO)
05: We tool the medicals on 3/28/22 and submitted as part of our AOS application (RD: 04/07/22)
06: No interview/No 1800 calls/No Ombudsman/No Senator inquiry. I called Emma 2 times to check my receipt numbers (those got generated only on the 28th day after RD, which is Apr 7, 2022).

thanks @fireworks8 for the answers.

wow! lucky you! still i find it hard to believe. as of now, as i see on trackitt, you are the only person having a PD of 6/30/2014 in EB2 and who has received the GC so early as compared to folks like me who have a EB2 PD falling in December 2013. :-)

as i understand,
01: you always stayed with EB2, right ? i.e. you never went for a downgrade to EB3, correct ?
02: based on the EB table B ( meant for filing ) in visa bulletin for April 2022, you became eligible for filing AoS ( i.e. I-485 ) with USCIS, right ?
03: meaning for your I-485 ( based on EB2 ), RD: 4/7/2022; ND: 5/5/2022; biometrics: 5/23/2022 as you already mentioned, right ?
04: in that case as you have mentioned, what is the I-485J ( please notice the "J" ) filing about ? can you please clarify on that ?

thanks for your patience and congrats again!

Thanks Joshyas!

Yes, it is even hard for me to believe that my GC got approved. I was hoping it would happen much later in the FY. Actually there are a handful 2014 folks who have gotten approved. I'm part of some telegram groups, so I keep track of approvals.

01. Correct. Always EB2
02. Yes. Filed in April 2022
03. Yes
04. 485J is the confirmation of the bonafide offer letter. It is submitted as part of the AOS application.

Good luck with your case. I hope yours get approved soon too!

First off, congratulations for becoming an LPR.

Your profile states your nationality is United States. Dude, that is not what nationality means! Being a US national means you are a US citizen. Obviously you wouldn't be here if that were the case. Simply residing in the US doesn't make you a US national. So no need to lol at the user who seemed confused by your status.
