No, I did not. My lawyer told me since my H1 is still valid I could go back to H1.

I see that you have renewed your EAD card. I have filed for the EAd renewal as well, but kind of late. and my current Ead expires by March 20th. I still have a valid H1B, but have traveled on my AP. Do you know if I can go back to my H1B in this situation if I don't receive my new EAD by the time my old one expires?

Hi Leiloo,
According to my lawyer you can go back to your H1B. I was almost in the same situation and was worried that the renewal won't come on time. I heard from other people that once you use the AP your staus will change and you can not go back to H1. Check with someone more reliable.
Hopefully your 485 approval will come sooner than the EAD.
