I've my EAD online applied @TSC 09/13/2011 for renewal, still waiting...any updates on your renewal?

I'm a little confused about this term renewal. I have applied for a 17 month STEM extension. Is that what everyone else means when they say "renewal"?

Yes you are right//... OPT STEM is another term that we normally user and by that we understand that the card will have a 17 months valid period to work in the US..
