If you don't mind, please let us know the next steps? I've heard that you get a service request number after calling them. Then, you have to wait for USCIS's response. I don't know when and how they contact you, or how you know whether your case is being expedited.

Yes. I contacted them and they provided the service request number. They are suppose to contact me in 5 business days. I am waiting to hear back from them. 4 business days are ending today.

Today, my status changed to 'Card Production'. Hopefully, I would receive EAD card in another couple of days. I filed my application on Sept 24th electronically.

Super. Congrates. My status changed to 'Card production' too this morning. Hope to get the card in this week. Other then calling the USCIS to open a service request, did you do anything else?

Congratulations to you too. I did not do anything other than calling service desk for expediting my case. Do you know how to get tracking number from USCS for tracking the USPS parcel containing the card?

Congrats bloom1 and sachin1178. I am in the same boat as you both were, my EAD expires on 10/29/2012 and I had applied on 9/24/2012. I called last week to expedite my case, but the rep said that they cannot do it. Can you guys help me with the number that you called and the reason that you had provided for the call? I would greatly appreciate it. I am not sure if I did not use the right words for them to open a SR.

I calld the number provided in the receipt notice. The reason was "severe financial loss for the individual".

Thanks bloom1, I had also called the same number, maybe the rep who picked up for me was not knowledgeable about the process, she said there is no such process and that I just have to wait. Did you talk to level1 or level2 officers? Did you have to send any documents?

In my case, I used the same reason "severe financial loss". I don't remember the options. But, when you call, you get an option to report 'problem with an existing application'. Under that option, you'll get a choice to submit request to expedite your application. After selecting this option, the call is forwarded to a representative, which takes information about the application. And, you'll get a service ticket number. The representative was very cooperative in my case. I hope it helps.

This is the status today when I look at the case status on www.uscis.gov - "On October 24, 2012, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file". I hope to get the card by Friday.

Just a quick Question....I have applied for EAD Renewal on 12/04....It is already 48 days....But the USCIS Site doesn't show up my Case.....It says "Your Case can not be found"....I have received the Receipt by Mail though....Should I contact anyone to discuss about this ?.....Or is it Normal?......I mean does it show up in USCIS Online only when my Case is approved....Please Confirm....Thanks !
